The Bretagne in Düsseldorf - Edit
This bistro is the perfect choice if you want to taste authentic crêpes and galettes as in the Bretagne. You can choose from two savoury vegan galettes and several sweet vegan crêpes. The cidre is also vegan. Everything is labelled very clearly on the card so it’s easy to identify the vegan options.

Excellent - Edit
We popped in for a quick lunch with our baby complete with Kinderwagen and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The menu is clearly marked with two vegan savoury crepes and more sweet options. If you are vegetarian there is still more choice. We shared the two savoury vegan options and enjoyed them both but the one with mushrooms was our top pick. We finished off the meal by sharing a vegan Nuss-Nougat crepe with was deliciously nutty. We will be returning.
Read morePlant-based milks are on offer but we chose a green tea and an earl grey tea which came in pleasingly-sized cups where you don’t feel cheated.
Pros: Good vegan options, Lots of veggie options, Relaxed atmosphere

I had the vegan galette with tomato, spinach, mushrooms and vegan cheese and I loved it! I've never had anything like this before and I was pleasantly surprised!

Nice crepe but dissapointing selection - Edit
The place looks cute and the savory crepe was tasty but I was hoping for something more exiting. Personally it was a bit disappointing to see so few vegan options after my initial joy of finding a place for vegan Crêpes.

It's nearly not edible - Edit
There is one option of crepe which is the vegetarian without cheese. It's brown and doesn't taste good. The one savory course in the menu is this crepe filled with 4 cooked vegetables. Not even mixed and fresh tomatoes. It's really tasteless. Thanks to some reviews here I made sure they use the same crepe for the sweet deserts and skipped it. I strongly suggest to avoid it.

Cons: Tasteless and terrible.

For everyone seeing this review in 2023: Some things have changed. They do have vegan cheese. They don't only have the 'galettes' dough which is made from buckwheat, but they also have vegan 'crêpe' dough.

Bistro Erminig - Edit
I enjoyed this place and the crepes were pretty good. My only issue is that the vegan dessert crepe is the same as the vegan savory crepe just with different fillings. I would've liked to have seen the dessert crepe a little more sweet! The food came out quickly and the employees know a lot about what is and is not vegan.

Authentic French dining - Edit
The place is very cosy and lovingly furnished. The food has this very special French touch to it and is delicious.
Read moreThey offer one savoury vegan galette and 3 vegan crêpes (they use the galette batter for the crêpes).
Staff was really lovely and very knowledgeable about veganism.
This is definitely a nice little bistro and offers something that you can't really get elsewhere in Düsseldorf.

nothing exciting here - Edit
They had only one vegan option which was the vegetarian crepe without cheese. It was a really boring meal. I would not go back there.

Try it again now they have more options on their menu. Maybe they will add even more options when they have more vegan customers. Fingers crossed anyway.

My friend and I came here for sweet crepes, but we both ended up eating much more. They offer a savory vegan crepe and two sweet vegan crepes. I had one of each and was sad both times when it was finished!

Great way to try something new - Edit
The Bistro Erminig is a French-owned place near the Old Town. It is very clean, light, and nicely furnished. The chef/waiter is friendly and quite helpful in recommending vegan options. There are specially marked vegan galettes than can even be made sweet as an alternative to crêpes. The food is made using fresh ingredients and tastes delicious, absolutely worth a visit!
