We had the risotto and the chick pea soup. The (safron) risotto was very good. The soup was nice, but simple.

Okay, but not great. - Edit
BioRiso offers a few vegan options like pasta and risotto. But upon mentioning Veganism the understanding of the staff was not great. The vegan Milanese risotto tasted really boring and was just plain yellow saffron rice without any garnishing. We also tried the vegan breakfast in the hotel that is at BioRiso, which was limited to vegan Croissants, one milk alternative (almond) and cereal. We expected a little more as we explicitely went there because vegan breakfast was advertised. Prices were fair though.

Vegan risotto - Edit
I came here because it was the only place in Milan where I could find vegan risotto. It's really out of the way if you are staying downtown, but it was so worth it. The prices are fair and the menu clearly states which items are vegan. Staff was very friendly and fast, too. If you take the metro from central Milan, BioRiso is only a short walk from the station, maybe about 5 minutes.

We stayed at the Eco-hotel on the way through Milan. We had been researching other places to eat out but decided to give this restaurant a go after perusing the menu and finding good vegan options at a good price. The staff were great and told us we could request certain vegetarian choices as vegan if possible. There were three main vegan choices as well as many more risotto options (listed separately from mains), salads (which were massive - we shared a large one for starter!) and sides. The only thing we wanted was some vegan cheese so we could have pizza which they couldn't offer us. We also got 10% off as residents of the hotel (which I'd recommend as an affordable, comfortable and eco-friendly place to stay in Milan)
