I had high expectations coming due to raving reviews but we left disappointed. Biomania burek was floury, I didn’t enjoy the texture of the vegan meat. Carbonara also had weird texture, it was very thick and the flavour was lacklustre. Owner and the staff were very nice and attentive.

I came here twice with my flexitarian mum. They have excellent food in a pleasant setting in the heart of Zagreb. We tried a number of their dishes: the burek, the arancini, the truffle gnocchi, and the spaghetti bolognese. We tried some of their deserts too which were also very good. The sarma were unfortunately unavailable on both occasions. The restaurant is on the more expensive side, but everything is vegan, organic, seasonal, local, and they have an excellent attention to making their food tasty and clientele welcome - so I suppose you get what you pay for.
Read moreFrom the starters, the arancini in particular were amazing. Arancini are something that I miss since going vegan and the ones here are excellent, so I was very happy to find them. We were also particularly impressed by the spaghetti bolognese. Despite being (usually) a simple dish, they turned it into something very rich and layered. The truffle gnocchi were also very good.
When it came to deserts, we took the lemon and blueberry tart and the chocolate brownie. We were surprised that the tart was more of a cheesecake than what we had imagined from the description. The brownie too was creamier than we expected (it was almost like a mousse) but it was also delicious. The brownie was very rich so it was good that we shared it - it would have been too much for us to take individually.
I also ordered a hibiscus tea. The tea was loose leaf and they brought it with a timer and tea set. As someone who loves tea and infusions and knows that teas need certain temperatures and times to release their flavour, this was a detail I appreciated. Another detail that I appreciated was the quality of their vegan cheeses. I often avoid vegan cheeses because my body sometimes reacts negatively to them but these ones were very good and I could not really taste the difference between these and 'real' cheese (other than the lack of a milky taste).
Overall, we loved this place and I would highly recommend it to any vegans, vegetarians and flexitarians in Zagreb.

While I like their very local concept and the food is fresh and nice, there is in my opinion room for improvement regarding taste and possible options. As someone who can’t eat tofu I find theor options a bit meh. Their idea seems to be to keep all the tastes super simple. Prices are pretty high for what you get, but for Zagreb it’s still a good option.

We have been traveling in Europe for a couple of weeks now, and this is the first opportunity we have had to dine in a fully vegan restaurant. All of the dishes were reasonably priced, presented well and included unique options. For instance, there were numerous atoms with sweet potato as a feature. The staff were courteous and friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. Additionally, the restaurant offered gluten-free meals and drinks.
