Confusing options

I asked about vegan options, was told that there wasn’t too much but they’d be able to modify a few items. I ordered a linguini with red sauce. The waitress came back and said they had to remake it because the chef had put vegan cheese on top, though I had specified no cheese. But when asked about vegan options they never mentioned vegan cheese at all?

Very confusing. Small portion, $18 for the pasta with red sauce and a glass of water.

Pros: Good sauce

Cons: Expensive, Unclear options , Not enough options

Go for the happy hour

Basso's is located in the basement of the Cheshire Inn so it has a wine-cellar vibe, always dim-lit and cool down there. They have a variety of $6 craft cocktails during happy hour which is a steal (peach Bellini, Manhattan, vodka & sparkling water, etc). Even if you don't drink- go for the shishito peppers (warning- they are spicy) and/or pizza

Pros: Happy Hour, Intimate, Craft cocktails

Cons: Reservation recommended during dinner on weekends
