I am so happy to have tried this restaurant today. Food was very tasty and gets plus points because the chefs do not use glutamate. The “veggie chicken” and “veggie beef” were made with soy and gluten and were nicely seasoned, the iced tea (Autumn Lover) was refreshing and delicious!
Read moreEdit: I have been many times to Bao Bao since my first review. I dont know if they have more than one chef but there is no real consistency: sometimes food is great, sometimes it tastes very boring (same dishes).
Some dishes that i would not recommend are
the veggie duck and the Pho soup, which every time i ordered tasted quite blend.

Read moreEs fängt schon mit dem Restaurant selber an. Alles nett gestaltet, aber Sitzen ohne Rücklehne? Sehr freundliches Personal, dass dann aber gelangweilt an den Tischen sitzt (mit dem Mobiltelefon Videos schaut), wenn nicht so viel los ist.
Wir hatten das Menü für 2 Personen. Die Vorspeisen waren lecker (insbesondere die Frühlingsrollen), der Hauptgang (eine Zusammenstellung unterschiedlicher Gerichte) war insgesamt ziemlich laff, fast schon geschmacksneutral. Hier hätten wir uns doch mehr Würze gewünscht. Die gebackene Banane zum Schluss war köstlich (und ich mag Nachtisch mit Bananen sonst nicht so sehr).
Fazit: Etwas enttäuschend nach all den guten Kritiken, die ich bisher lesen durfte. Es hätte alles etwas schmackhafter sein dürfen.

Der Inhalt unserer Gerichte entsprach nicht der Kartenbeschreibung und dann auch noch ein Haar im Essen! 😣Das Fake-Huhn war lieblos und schmeckte nach nichts. Read moreThe location is just wonderful as it's far away from all the touristy spots but still easy to get to. The street is quiet which makes sitting outside a really cozy thing to do on a Sunday.
The menu is extensive so there's definitely something here for everyone. I had the vegan fish with vegetables and rice. It was so delicious and quite filling even though they don't use MSG.
I can't wait to go back!

Menu includes various appetizers, some rice and some noodle dishes, desserts and quite a large drink selection. Most of it sounds good - I had the wantan soup, rice noodle salad with tamarind sauce and sticky rice cake. The rice noodle salad was a pretty big portion and everything tasted great. Most dishes include mock meat - which I enjoy luckily. The mock beef was pretty good. No complaints at all.

We tried the summerroll mix (5 different summerrolls) and the vegetable pan with organic vegetables, cashews, fresh herbs and veggie-chicken; the fried turmeric rice with organic vegetables, carottes, corn and fresh herbs+veggie chicken and red tofu curry. The mango milkshake was quite delicious.Everything tasted well and was filling. The restaurant also offers a vast choice of drinks and some desserts. Friendly service.
