Very Disappointing - Edit
We were looking forward to some nice Vietnamese food but were unpleasently surprised. The bao bao special "peanut lover" lacked more ingredients and flavour. The "Pho xao sot me" was a mixture of dry bitter salad and oily fast food noodles. What was particularly sad was the taste of the mock meat. Neither the chicken nor the duck were nice at all and had strange flavoring. We must have been really unlucky with our choices, compared to the experiences others had here, so we can only recommend to at least avoid the dishes we had. The Vietnamese ice tea could have used some more sugar, it was basically minted water. The lemongrass tea was the only enjoyable part of our meal.

Some of the best vegan restaurants I've been to taste-wise. It's relatively expensive, but they offer big portions. *Edit: they have actually lowered the prices. Compared to other restaurants, the prices are in the average range now. Very good. Dishes are creative and everything is very tasty.

Der Service war sehr freundlich. Das Essen war auch sehr gut, wir hatten die Nummer 26, 52b war sehr viel Knoblauch drin und das rote Curry mit Tofu. Alles super und Getränke auch gut, bisschen süß. :)

Wir haben das Menü aus mehreren Gängen zum Abendessen bestellt. Die Auswahl war super, jeder einzelne Gang war sehr lecker. Der Tee dazu hat sehr gut gepasst. An dem Abend war auch nicht sehr viel los, es waren sonst keine Gäste da. Wir saßen in einer Art überdachten „Vorraum“ mit dekorierten Regalen, das war super (nicht zu kalt und nicht zu warm).

The happiness when you arrive to your hotel, open Happy Cow and realise there’s a 5 star restaurant within 1 km… food was awesome, the atmosphere lovely (felt like New York or San Fransisco rather than Hamburg). The menu is in English and German.

Long waiting time, bland food - Edit
We waited about 30 minutes for our order to be taken, while the restaurant was almost empty. Our main course didn't come for another hour. To our deception, both our mains were rather bland and didn't have the distinct taste of Vietnamese food. My Pho didn't have even a hint of its main spices, anise and cinnamon. Rice noodles were overcooked. Their "vegan beef" was TSP, likewise rather bland in taste. When approaching the staff about the unusually long waiting time, we've been given a discount of a dazzling 2€ on the entire order. There being better vegan Vietnamese options in Hamburg, we'll certainly not be back.
