Delicious Lunch Spot

We recently found ourselves in Webster Groves at lunchtime and decided to pop in here. I’m so glad we did; the Lahmacun with vegan meat was fantastic. Can’t wait to go back.

Pros: Tons of vegan options, Flavorful and out of the ordinary, Knowledgeable vegan-friendly staff

Cons: It gets very busy (really a good thing!)

Whoa!

We loved this place! Excellent food with menu items you can't find a lot elsewhere.

Items that can be made vegan are clearly marked and staff is knowledgeable (and friendly!).

Only downside is that the whole place smells like cooking meat, so keep that in mind if that's a no-go for you!

Pros: amazing food, friendly staff, quick service

Cons: meat smell, small interior

Worth the hype!

I liked the vegan options they offered. It was nice to finally have some Balkan options that catered to vegans. If you get a chance to try them, take it! They sell out fast!

Excellent food!

We did some errands nearby, and found this restaurant through Happy Cow.

Friendly staff, and the food was delicious. I had the Döner with tofu, and it was delicious. We have already recommended this restaurant to our vegetarian neighbors.

Excellent, Delicious Vegan Options

Balkan Treat Box is so good; I highly recommend it. Their menu is very clearly marked which items can be made vegan or vegetarian and the staff is very knowledgeable. The main options are the tofu doner, pide made with plant-based meat, or the lahamacun with either spicy cauliflower or plant based meat. I've had them all and am not sure which I like best! They make their wood-fired bread in-house, and it's wonderful. The sauces and flavors are great, too. While there may be plenty of vegan-friendly Turkish food, the restaurants I have seen have not had many if any vegan options, which is another reason I was so happy to find Balkan Treat Box.
For a fast-casual place it's a bit expensive, but the food is worth it. The staff is friendly, and they are very efficient.

Pros: Great vegan options, Friendly and efficient staff

Cons: Somewhat limited hours, Busy

So tasty

Very vegan friendly - the menu is clearly marked with what can be made vegan, and the person who took our order was knowledgeable about the menu and veganism. The food was SO. TASTY. We has the lahmacun and patlidzan and would get both again.

When we got there, there was a HUGE line. They managed it well and it moved quickly, but do expect a bit of a wait.

Pros: Clearly labeled options , Amazingly delicious , Friendly staff

Delicious!!

There is about 8 things on the menu and half of them are vegetarian and can be made vegan if you just ask. So far I’ve been here twice. Tried the Pide and the Patlidzan. Both were amazing and super flavorful. Can’t wait to go back!

Pros: Lots of vegan options, Tasty food, Food arrives very quickly after ordering

Cons: Very busy. Long line
