Veggy breakfast / brunch place

The restaurant is located in an alley of a market square. The food is typically Taiwanese, e. g. dry noodles, soup noodles, noodles with sesame sauce, red braised noodle soup, wonton noodle soup etc. Most flavors are the same in the rice and soup section. Sides include, amongst others, boiled turnip or seasonal veggies (I had sweet potato leaves), fried or dried bean curd or dried kelp.

The taste was alright, but prices are very cheap, and it's nice to know a veggy breakfast place in the neighborhood, especially if one needs to head out early - they open at 6.30 am. (opening hours are neither on google nor can one find them somewhere in the restaurant, I had to ask, which means they may change without notice in the future).

Everything is Chinese only, there are no pictures of the dishes, without Chinese knowledge, ordering might be a bit challenging, I also doubt that the elder staff knows English.

Whether the restaurant is fully 100% vegan... That's a grey area like for most of this kind of street stores. The owner assured me they only sell vegan, and I couldn't spot any egg dishes, but I would not vouch for the mock meats. So if you wanna avoid any risk, stick to the tofu and bean curd as well as dishes without any mock meat.

There is also a shop selling steamed stuffed buns directly on the other side of the alley. They sell two kinds of veggy buns, cabbage and sweet red bean paste (if you don't know Chinese, look out for the yellow 素 character on the menu. 高麗菜 is cabbage, 豆沙 sweet red bean paste).

Pros: Very cheap , Taste is ok , Early business hours

Cons: No English menu
