Great vegan ramen and a cozy, inviting atmosphere

Easily one of the best restaurants we visited in Japan! It’s a small family run place with a very friendly owner, who was open to talk and spoke English as well. The food and drinks were all vegan, low on calories, delicious and every meal included a free appetizer plate.
HIGHLY recommended, we will definitely come back!!

Love this place

This place offers a wonderful vegan ramen experience in a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The black and green ramen we tried were both superb. We also enjoyed the unique cold tea, vinegar juice, and flavorful appetizers. A truly lovely spot for delicious vegan ramen in Kyoto.

Pros: Friendly owners, Food, Food

Brilliant food and service. Menu is 100% vegan

This place is amazing!! Best vegan meal I’ve had in Kyoto. Everything on their menu is 100% vegan - the lunch set I had was incredible! Great atmosphere and very welcoming staff as well.

No matter where you are staying in Kyoto, this place is definitely worth the trip!

The BEST ramen

Let's start with the food. The ramen was amazing and the appetisers we received as part of the set were phenomenal. The vibe was absolutely on point. The service was so friendly, they had an English menu and the English of the staff was more than good enough to tell us about the food we were eating and to discuss the finer points of beginner sake vocabulary.

I only wish they were open for dinner. I'm not normally a day drinker, and while I was very pleased to knock back one and a half glasses of sake after a delicious lunch, I might be willing to drink a bit more in the evening, if they were open.

Pros: Amazing food, Friendly service, Great vibe

Cons: Not open for dinner

Excellent experience

The food and service were absolutely fantastic. Had a nice chat with the owners while enjoying a very tasty black pepper sesame ramen. I love that they serve several small veggie dishes and a vinegar drink before the ramen.
Also, I love that the soup is very light, not oily, and that they dont use any artificial colourings, flavours, etc.
It's a very unique concept.
I'll be back for the matcha ramen!
They are planning on adding cold noodles during summertime as well.

Great food, friendly staff

Great experience.

The ramen variety is quite original. I had the pepper variety, it tasted distinctively of pepper without being overwhelming. The rice side dishes are both very affordable and delicious.

Aya-san is extremely friendly and even taught us some Japanese words in the Kansai dialect.

Aya-san おおきに, we'll come again some day.

Pros: Staff friendliness, Food, Ambience
