Great place - Edit
I think this has been my favourite place in Montreal so far, I wish I hadn't been so full that desserts where out of the question!

Love this place ! - Edit
I really enjoy coming here, there is an extensive menu and the tastes are delicious ! The appetizers are overpriced and small, but try their main dishes. They are fairly priced and very good ! Try their dragon sauce ! The ambiance is nice too!

Increíble - Edit
Me encanta este sitio. Fue mi primer vegan restaurant en Montreal y aluciné con el sándwich con coco y el dragon bolw. Además es genial encontrar un sitio con comida tan saludable!!!

fresh food in a nice environment - Edit
The food was fresh and flavourful. I ordered the dragon sandwich which is a wrap. It came with a house sauce rich in nutritional yeast. The service was good, atmosphere was pleasant and food was very nice. From what I understand this was Montreal’s first vegan restaurant.

Yum - Edit
A lot of delicious choices on the menu. Massive generous portions.
Read moreA couple of salads weren't available and the juice never came but this place still gets 5 stars. We shared the Deluxe Salad, the tempeh satay, the saurkraut, and a side of steamed vegetables (giant bowl of bok choi and broccoli with dill sauce).
The flavours were great - vegan lox, ginger dressing, saurkraut and guacamole were delicious.
We dipped our steamed veggies in the tempeh satay sauce to make Indonesian 'gado-gado'. Yum.
I'd love to see some raw desserts on the menu.

So far but so good.... - Edit
We live in Verdun, which is quick a ways from Aux Vivres in the plateau, but metro or even by car given the never ending construction and traffic. But we go the distance regularly, this is our favourite restaurant for Sunday brunch, colleague reunions, birthdays, etc. The atmosphere is hip, the food is delicious and filling, and the prices are appropriate for the excellent quality and freshness. I buy their sandwiches regularly at local stores for a quick supper or lunch!

Pretty cool - Edit
I tried 5 things, I was only not fully satisfied with the Dragon Bol. The sauce was amazing, probably one of the best I ever tried, but the bol itself was just raw vegetables. Maybe it was just that I wasn’t fully into it.

First time, not last. - Edit
Food and service is excellent. I like the low key dinner setting. You dont feel like youre paying for the overhead of trendy setting common to vegan restos. Dont hesitate if you're in the area.

Exceptionally good food and very pleasant professional service. Decor and cabin style seating a bit drab, but all is compensated by truly lovingly prepared dishes. Pate selection aux vivres mezze on a starter menu is a "must" (tofu pate especially), burgers were to die for and Mumbai tali plate was just excellent. exceeded expectations for sure!

It's about the Buddah Bowl - Edit
I spent two days in town seemingly not eating any vegetables (which is totally possible for a vegan these days!!) I felt like something healthy and their Buddah Bowl was it. And it was perfect. I'd go again. Also had the interesting chocolate apple cake. Good chocolate cake, though perhaps more apples would equal a more interesting experience?? Friendly staff, popular place. Reminds me of Fresh in Toronto.

Très grand resto façon "diner" américain, les plats sont tout simplement délicieux ! Aux Vivres est une véritable institution végane à Montréal depuis 20 ans et on comprend très bien pourquoi !

True gem - Edit
A couple of years ago my wife and I went to Aux Vivres. We loved back then when it was still small. We loved even more now, gladly surprised the place is much bigger and it was packed on Saturday at lunch, a testimony of its quality. Prices are reasonable, food was excellent. We had the "la polenta" and the "le complet", both very tasty and fulfilling.
