Freshly home-made Taiyaki - Edit
Lovely small place which sells freshly made Taiyaki.
Read moreHas two vegan options clearly labeled, the traditional taiyaki filled with red bean paste and a sweet matcha one, both amazing.
During the summer they have seasonal taiyaki, made with chestnut and white bean paste, it was delicious!!
The owners really nice.
They also offer a course to learn how to make them yourself.

Lovely experience - Edit
A lovely small place and really nice people. Taiyaki is freshly made. We tried both vegan options, the matcha and red beans, both were delicious. Recommended place for a little break and something sweet.

Cheap snack in Asakusa - Edit
Only 500 yen for two taiyaki! The red bean and matcha flavors are vegan, and the menu is clearly labeled. I wasn’t a fan of the matcha flavor, but the red bean was delicious.

Vegan Taiyaki - Edit
I was really happy to see vegan-labeled taiyaki, especially in a popular touristy area.
Read moreWe stopped by during cherry blossom season, and even their sakura taiyaki was labeled vegan. We were happy to order a seasonal version, but unfortunately later on, we found that it was not actually vegan. A friend informed me that she was suspicious because of the pink color and asked to see the ingredients, and it turned out that the sakura one did indeed contain cochineal - too common for any pink Japanese sweets. So, once again, lesson learned. We can't always trust the stores, even when they label something vegan.
The regular two vegan-labeled taiyaki are safe, so stick to them, and avoid anything pink.

Nice treat option in Asakusa - Edit
Vegan taiyaki is rare, so options are appreciated. But for me personally, it was too sweet. Also, the crust was very thin.

Vegan taiyaki in Asakusa - Edit
Two of the taiyakis are vegan : plain (red bean paste) and matcha paste. Very sweet and filling, so you only need one.
Read moreHassle free and easy to order with English speaking staff. They also host taiyaki making class (around 3000yen, gives you six taiyakis included) which might be fun for foodies.

Una piacevole scoperta - Edit
Un locale minuscolo, con saletta per gustare le deliziose carpe ripiene di patate dolci, fagioli o crema pasticcera. Mancava il sale in quelle alle patate dolci. Quelle alla crema veramente buone
