Vegan Arepas

They don’t have a lot of vegan options, I wish they had more but I can’t say they do. They are nestled inside Plaza fiesta mall which is a delight. Literally a Latino mall in the middle of Atlanta. It feels like walking into a different country right away. After we had been there for a while though we were hungry and finding food was not easy. There was nothing immediately around either.
The young lady had a vegetarian arepita with caraotas (Black beans) and cheese and she substituted avocado for me! The flavor of the black beans was out of this world, delicately seasoned with spices and I was assured that they are cooked in water. Full of crispy lettuce and tomato and onion.
It was one of the messiest most delicious thing is I’ve ever had. Bonus it’s also gluten-free.

Pros: A single vegan/veg option, Very inexpensive, Very filling

Cons: It’s not in the food court but very close, It’s surrounded by other non-vegan choices, You have to ask for it without the cheese
