Hidden Vegan Gem in Bandra West – A Must-Visit for Conscious Foodies

Tucked away in the heart of Bandra West lies a serene oasis for plant-based food lovers, Anokhi Gardens Café. This hidden away spot is a breath of fresh air in the hustle and bustle of Mumbai. Step in, and you’re instantly transported to a calming retreat, where natural wooden accents and subtle feng shui touches create a warm, grounding atmosphere. A tucked away yoga corner adds to the zen, making it the perfect place to slow down and reconnect with yourself and your food.

On my recent visit, I started with the PBC Smoothie Bowl a rich, creamy blend that tasted indulgent but felt nourishing, with a delightful rice crispy treat on the side it was technically a dessert, but so wholesome, it made you question everything you thought you knew about healthy eating. It’s rare to find something this delicious and good for you.

Next up was the scrambled tofu on toast and let me just say, they nailed it. As any vegan knows, tofu can be either a hero or a total letdown. Here, it’s definitely the former. Perfectly seasoned, cooked just right, and served on fresh, hearty toast, this dish proves they know exactly what they’re doing.

The service was equally impressive. A kind gentleman welcomed me like an old friend and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. There's a genuine warmth here that you rarely find in more commercial spots.

As luck would have it, just before leaving, I had the rare opportunity to sample a few items from their exclusive, preorder-only menu — and wow, what a treat. The Mango Bombolini lived up to its name it was, quite literally, bomb. Light, fluffy, filled with seasonal mango, and absolutely divine. The cookies were another standout soft, just sweet enough, and made with less sugar and whole ingredients that didn’t compromise on comfort or flavor.

Anokhi Gardens isn’t just a vegan café, it’s a haven for conscious eating and mindful living. Whether you’re vegan or just someone who appreciates quality food made with care, this place deserves a spot on your radar.

Will I be back? Absolutely. Probably with friends in tow.

Pros: Mango bombolini, PBC smoothie, Atmosphere

Cons: Can be hard to find, it's tucked away
