Good hummus but a bit lacking - Edit
The hummus itself was good enough, but the meal was disappointing in other ways: the chickpeas heaped on top were just raw chickpeas, no flavor, without being cooked down enough to remove the clearly visible shells. Like others have said, the portions are also fairly small for the price.

We had the lunch menu yesterday - hummus, mujadara, fatoush, and a pita for €9. It was nice enough and quite filling. The regular menu is a bit pricey in my opinion.

Delicious Hummus, but pricy - Edit
I‘ve tried many sorts of hummus in Berlin and the Akkawy Hummus is my favourite so far. The mushroom topping was delicious as well.
Read moreI have to edit my review, the hummus is still great, but the price being 9,50€ now for a plate of hummus is just too much for what it is. The price would be fine if the portion was bigger, or at least served with more than just two small pita breads. I wasnt full after the meal. You can get a huge hummus plate with more than enough pieces of bread at Azzam in Neukölln - for half the price!

Mind-blowing baked cauliflower and lovely staff - Edit
Akkaway is such a nice place. The interior is nice and the staff are really really kind. The food is an interesting combination of classics and twists, and their hummus and baked cauliflower are my personal favourites. Highly recommended - go with an appetite and friends to share everything!

Super smooth hummus, amazing Indian-flavoured mushrooms - Edit
This place rightfully has very good reviews, the hummus was super super smooth and just perfect, and the mushrooms were very interesting, seasoned with a hint of tamarind, coriander seeds, cumin and more amazing flavours that I couldn't quite recognize. The spicy (chili?) paste was also amazing and gave it all a nice kick. The owners, a Palestinian and an Israeli, were both really nice. (Payment with card over 10 Eur only.)

Akkawy really is a one-of-a-kind place, that serves the very best hummus in town! Really friendly, warm service and owner, which makes your visit unforgettable as well. The food (I tried the hummus and Zahra, a baked cauliflower/tahini dish) was really mind blowing. Wonderful experience, will be back soon!!!

Go for the mushroom hummus! - Edit
A friend recommended this restaurant several weeks ago and I was finally able to visit tonight. He was right; it’s the best hummus to be found. The pita was dangerously delicious and the salad was fresh and crisp. I will definitely go back to try their cauliflower. I’ve heard that it’s really good, as well.

Great hummus, Great place to eat and enjoy yourself, does not offer beer yet.

Small, new (as of June 2019) place serving mostly hummus with vegan toppings. I believe the only exception is hummus shakshuka.
