I went there again earlier today, and I said that I’ll have the vegan options on the menu.
The guy said we don’t have anything vegan. I was like, what!!? I ate here before I see vegetable dumplings and vegetable Bao and things like that.
He said…
No they all have oyster sauce.
I was like what!!?
So, I just left.
Here’s the thing. He’s wrong.
I ate the food there last time and didn’t taste any oyster sauce!
I know what oyster sauce taste like because I wasn’t born vegan. I used to eat meat. Vegan oyster sauce actually tastes very similar to regular oyster sauce.
Regardless, the last time I ate there I didn’t taste any oyster sauce(vegan or regular). It just wasn’t in the stuff I ordered, but that was just a bad experience overall.
That waiter needs to learn.

We haven’t had bao or dumplings this good since we were in Singapore. I would highly recommend! Caution the bao are big!

Delicious Vegan Options - Edit
Newly opened and 88 BaoBao is a must! Service was excellent and the food was delicious. We started with the scallion pancake, so good! Then we had the stir-fried string beans. I can't even tell you how over-the-top delicious these are!! Next, we had veggie bao buns and veggie dumplings...steamed and fried. All were tasty! We overordered because everything sounded so good. Plus, we have lunch for tomorrow!
