Fabulous food

Came here with my husband during a day trip of Lisbon. Came for a late lunch after 4. Ambience great. Music good. Nice to see the seitan being prepared.
Has 2 fishy starters. The octopus, really just lovely mushrooms on toast and the take on sardines on toast, the Portuguese speciality. Actually I appreciated the art in this but didn’t actually love it. Only because it was fishy. My husband really enjoyed the fish flavours but for those who don’t enjoy vegan food that pretends to be meat avoid this and stick to the Notoctopus!
Had the 2 house salads. Both delicious, zesty. Full of flavours and quite different
Desert, well I’m always taken with a crème brûlée and this take with cardamon was lovely. However the peanut and chocolate cake steals the show. I was dubious. Usually I find these things too sickly, too sweet but this was perfect. With a coffee!

Pros: Just fabulous

Cons: No outdoor seating

Foodgasm

This was probably the best vegan food i've had in Lisbona.
Packed with flavour, perfect textures, perfect synergy of ingredients... simply amazing.

Saturday evening

This is a lovely place to go for a meal especially if in a group or on date. The atmosphere on Saturday was really nice , although you may have to wait for a table as it’s busy. I only had a main but you probably need a starter and main.

Pros: Atmosphere , Menus , Service

Cons: None

Great location, nice food

This is a beautifully decorated place and we really liked the location and interior. The food was nice but not great. The Ravioli were good but were pan fried, and this wasn't exactly what I was expecting when I ordered freshly made pasta. The berry crumble was also very different, as more a granola with berry compot, and very sweet. The homemade ice cream was nice though.
It comes down to individual taste, but these dishes didn't convince us.

Loved it!

This place is a little bit higher in price but it's worth it! We ordered the plate for two as starter and it was so delicious. The main courses were also very good.

Amazing food experience!

This place is one not to miss, while in Lisbon. Fancy, yet so simple… 💚 Food was made and presented with care, looked amazing and tasted the same! And the stuff was incredibly nice and present, but in discretion. We were served faster than in any other restaurant that we tried until now.

Pros: Food was art and very good. , Fast service. , Very pleasant stuff.

Really good bistronomic experience

Really tasty food for a correct price. The restaurant imitates traditional Portuguese food in a delicate way. The dishes were original and well presented. The atmosphere and the staff was really nice.

The bifana to take away is also quite good.

I wish I could give more

Great idea and great menu
Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed when I saw the dishes I ordered.
Small portions and not so tasteful.
The best one by far where the sweet potatoes fries.
Further more.. very rude staff!

Pros: Menu

Cons: Service and stuff

Hidden treasure

A small cosy lit staircase leads you to the small sunny inner garden of the modern looking restaurant. Greeted politely by the staff that brings you to a table with a view on the open kitchen with focused stoic-looking cooks, you prepare yourself for a sophisticated lunch/dinner experience. Expecting a fine dining menu from the context of the atmosphere, you'll find yourself surprised that they offer vegan translations of traditional Portugese comfort food, and for a very affordable price!

We took the Portugese Traditional Starters board because we were unable to choose between all the starters. I've eaten nor cuttlefish, nor octopus, nor clams in all my life, but the mushroom substitutes for it were very tasy. Also the plantbased chorizo and alheira sausage were very rich in flavour and texture. As a main course we shared the Islander: smokey alheira, a potato pancake, creamy spinach and mushroom consomme. Even though it wasn't very attractively plated nor unique in my opinion, it was a very good and comforting dish. The Creme Brulee and peanut chocolate pie were amazing.

As a person who never tried the original dishes these plantbased dishes were inspired from and preffering vegetable inspired food, I was not amazed but nevertheless pretty happy with the experience. Being able to order comforting and affordable dishes in a sophisticated looking restaurant with very professional staff is a combination you don't often see. A bit hidden from the busy street you feel like you have discovered a hidden treasure in the heart of the city. Definitely recommended.

Amazing veganised portuguese classics

Wow! I’m so glad I stumbled across this place. It was so amazing to get to try vegan versions of some Portuguese classic dishes. The menu was extensive, imaginative, and everything I chose was absolutely delicious! I had 3 courses and a large bottle of sparkling water and my total came to €30 - such fantastic value for money. That creme brulee is to die for!!!!

Edit to add: I came back with my partner and tried even more dishes. All amazing!

I’ve never seen a fancy Cesar salad until now.

Quick, friendly, helpful, and delicious, good price as well!
26 Vegan Project quickly made our Portugal trip much more exciting. We are food travellers and sometimes you get areas with nothing vegan, or just very “uninspired” vegan food. 26 Vegan Food Project is the opposite. We went four times in our short stay in Portugal since there wasn’t much else that held up to their standards of food.

I got to try some Portuguese tradition meals, turned vegan. Defenetly not my favourite but I am still happy I got to try it! The Cesar salad was what kept us coming back, it was amazing. The Tofu main was great, and the soups were delicious and a great size for the price.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was a guy I don’t remember his name but when we first arrived he told us the kitchen was closed but helped us find a different place to eat, which happened to be his favorite spot. It helped us a lot since it was late and we were starving. So instead of just ushering us out, they showed us kindness and were very helpful. Earned our respect. 🫡

I highly recommend this place. It’s a great place for people of all walks of life. I brought my non-vegan family here and they loved it. Eat plants 🌱

Pros: Cesar salad, Beautiful environment, comfortable seating. , Friendly Staff

Cons: Closing time is later than kitchen closing time., Not a lot of gluten free options for mains. , The daily specials sometimes don’t change.
