worth it

Loved the options on the menu: the different vegan cheeses, the tea mixes, burgers etc.-there's a lot to choose from, it's a shame I didn't have the time to try out more. I had the polenta with pumpkin and mushrooms. The polenta was great, but the mushrooms were too oily for my taste. The soup of the day(lentil/zucchini) was delicious. The sweet potato fries were perfect. And I was happy to find some cold pressed juices on the menu:)

I was lucky to find a spot within 5-10 mins. without a reservation. Only one dish was listed as gluten free, I'm not sure if there were more options.

Updated from previous review on 2017-06-03

Pros: affordable, interesting dishes

Cons: not much gluten free options?

Ao26veganfoodproject

Thank you Florence! Our risotto is not gluten free because it has soy sauce! But other options, besides the polenta, would be the sweet potato fries, the vegetal salad without croutons, the citrus salad, the raw cakes, chocolate mousse and créme brulee :)

Excellent food!

Really excellent vegan restaurant, I'm so glad I tried it while visiting Lisbon. I ate here as it opened at lunch time (midweek) and by the time I was finished, there was a queue of the door - its clearly a popular spot! The food was fresh, healthy, and a bit different. Really tasty, would highly recommend to anyone!

Pros: Freshly prepared food, Healthy, whole plant based food, Delicious flavours

Cons: Salad and soup were a bit oily (but tasty!)

must go

Really good food and really nice staff. They speak english and they explain all the dishes with courtesy. We took a typical portoguese dish revisited for vegans and a crumble tofu with spinach that was delicious. The place is kinda small, so better book in advance.

Try the seitan!

Possibly the best vegan place in Lisbon. The food was awesome, the place is cosy and nice. I had seitan steaks with mushroom sauce, which was delicious! They also have good desserts.

Pros: Quality, Location

Upscale vegan dining

Wow! Get the seitan steak. Unbelievable. The food was savory and rich. The wine selection was good with prices one can afford. Make a reservation if you can. This is an upscale, yet cozy and casual environment. We got a bread plate, 2 entrees, a bottle of good wine, and dessert for a total of about 50 Euros. This meal would have been $100 in the US.

Pros: nice environment , high quality

Cons: not cheap

Ao26veganfoodproject

23 May 2017

Thank you lilmammal!! We have dinning experience, more gourmet and refined, and for lunch a more casual cheap menu! Hope to see you for that experience too!

It is a very pleasant place to be.very tasty food, cosy atmosphere, and such nice staff. My favourite dish is the bifana with some sweet potatoe fries bu every time im in lisbon i try a new dish and its Always delicous.even though im not a fan of tofu ,here i eat everything, Because every dish is made with so much knowledge that the seasoning is never disapointing.I defenetly recomend that restaurant to anyone even if you not vegan, you will love it. Plus for diner it as a very romantic ambiente.

Pros: 100%vegetal, glúten free

THE BEST VEGAN place ever

We came here on out last day in Lisbon and wished we discovered this place sooner. Lentil burger with sweet potato fries were totally delicious and the chocolate cake was AMAZING prob the best chocolate cake I've had in my life. It is a little bit pricey, but who cares. The food is totally worth it. You can see the guys in the kitchen, how proud they are to make food like that. LOVED it

The best vegan food in Lisbon

We visited tonight after having to book a table as the night before was packed! The food was nothing short of amazing - the seitan steak in mushroom sauce was to die for and the creme brulee was gorgeous. My non-vegan other half loved it all too.

Pros: Lovely food, Friendly staff, Reasonable prices

Cons: Busy - not necessarily a bad thing but book ahead

Excellent food, good prices

My wife and I were happy to find this hip vegan spot just walking distance from our flat.

The place was packed when we arrived so we were initially asked to wait for 45 minutes. While we were outside figuring out where to go next, the receptionist came outside and told us that a table opened up and we'd be seated in 5 minutes. Very good customer service!

I wish it had recommended this on Happy Cow, but I would make a reservation just in case.

Food was excellent. I got the beet burger. It was delicious! Very moist unlike most vegan burgers. The sweet potatoes it came with were so good, especially with that white sauce.

Pros: great customer service, diverse set of dishes to choose from, delicious and affordable

Cons: can get busy, make a reservation!

I wish we had something like this at home!

This place was amazing. The staff was terrific, especially my server Rafael who was attentive, patient and helpful in deciding what to order.

I'd highly recommend making a reservation. I was lucky - I walked in solo and they were able to squeeze me in. All night, guests were turned away because they were full. Not a bad problem to have! If only the restaurant were bigger.

The Tofu Bio Steak was delicious. They had a great selection of non- and alcoholic beverages. And a wonderful dessert menu.

We have nothing like this in my home city. It's what I would consider casual fine dining and it's all vegan! I can't believe the delicious meal I was able to get for less than €20. Wow.
Please open an AO 26 in every major city! I'll be back someday. :)

Pros: tasteful decor, wonderful menu, excellent staff

Cons: Needs another location!

Best burger and cake ever

Me and my boyfriend tried the beetroot birger which is honestly the best burger we have ever eaten! The vegan cheese sandwich was okay, but I would definetly order the burger which was just a little bit more expensive and much more filling than the sandwich next time we go. The iced tea was literally cold tea which we found kind of odd and overpriced. The chocolate cake was okay but the Oreo peanut butter cake was just a dream. Definately try the oreo cake and the beetroot burger when you go!

Thank you AnastasijaMinits ! We will consider your points to improve! Oreo, peanut and chocolate cake is definitely a winner! :)

Super good food! I wish I asked for the recipe for the mayo which was perfectly made. Really nice staff and nice location. Wish I had more time in Lisbon to go another time.
The only thing is it's a bit pricey compared to the cost of food in the city...

Real vegan C U I S I N E

This isn't just an usual vegan place, this is by far T H E best restaurant and best surprise I had for a while. The food served is creative with a traditional Portuguese kitchen touch.
The "fracesinha" seems to be one of the signature dishes and any Portuguese loves this one.
I'm still puzzled about certain flavors... how on earth did the chef recreate the "chouriço's" smoked flavor ?
And how did the patissier come up with a "snickers" pie ?
I'm still wondering. Maybe I'll found out on my next visit !

Pros: The food, Friendliness of staff , The open kitchen

Cons: None so far

nice place for a sit down meal

Probably should have tried this place for lunch but only had dinner here. we had had to reserve a table as we had turned up at 6:50 a couple of nights earlier and were informed that they don't do the dinner menu til 7:30pm and we weren't going to wait that long! I had a mushroom risotto and my partner had a seitan steak in sauce with sweet potato chips and salad. for a main course the portions were small, I would have rathered the meals be less pretty and bigger. but the food was tasty and I have no complaints there except for the fact they drowned the salad in oil and ruined it but I guess that is the way they like it in portugal. for dessert we both had chocolate, peanut butter and oreo pie and it was the most delicious thing I have ever tasted though would be quite sickly if you had more than one piece. the mains ranged from €9- €12. it was our last night and we were having to cut back on cash however I think it would be best to go all out at this place and get starters as well and alcoholic drinks so that you can leave a bit more satisfied.

Pros: amazing cake, lovely presentation, nice atmosphere

Cons: small portions, opens late for dinner
