1 Million Stars - Edit
If you had ONE place to pick in Lyon, this would be it. The pistachio cake was probably the best vegan dessert I ever had and I've had a lot of cake. The flavors/quality was impeccable. Also had the Snickers bar which was 4/5. Only wish I wasn't full from eating around the city earlier as there's a lot that I would've wanted to try. Their drinks are also fantastic.

High-quality vegan pastries - Edit
Zoï is an "institution" (as French people say) when it comes to pastries in the French vegan scene.
Read moreI expected it to be great and it met my expectations. We had two fine pastries (pistacchio ganache and strawberry) and one cinnamon roll. They were all flawless.
It was quite late in the day, I was sad not to find any pain au chocolat.

Cozy cafe, all vegan! - Edit
We had a great time here that we ended up going twice in one day! In the morning, we had the strawberry shortcake and the chocolate cinnamon bun. So delicious! For lunch, we had the wrap and the avocado tomato sandwich on the baguette. Would absolutely recommend and prices were cheap for big servings!

Absolutely lives up to the hype - Edit
All of the pastries where breathtaking. The best that I’ve ever had- the tiramisu tart stood out to me the most. With the element of crunch with the light, yet rich elements it surpasses traditional tiramisu.
Read moreThe pecan tart and raspberry finger were also fantastic. The pecan tart has all the elements of American pecan pie but that cream topping sets it apart to make it into an even more delightful treat. The raspberry finger was packed with flavor with a light and airy texture.
I wasn’t crazy about the snickers tart, I was surprised at the lack of nougat and the inclusion of chocolate cake. It was a bit sweet for my taste and wish the nuts were more toasted.
The frenchie sandwich was very nice, however a bit dry and hard. I did order it 4pm so perhaps if I arrived earlier in the day it would have been more tender.
We came later in the day for the soft serve and it was such a delightful treat! It was so lovely to enjoy it on the patio.
I can’t wait to come back here and try more!
Pros: Incredible desserts , Fantastic coffee, Great service

Hands down best bakery - Edit
I visited Zoï bakery with my husband after seeing so many positive reviews. Needless to say it lives up to its reputation! This delightful bakery offers a fully vegan menu of authentic French pastries & desserts as well as many options for drinks.
Read moreWe ordered the Quiche, Brioche a La Praline and Troubillon Pécan alongside a Dirty Chai and Matcha Latte. Upon ordering our drinks I was surprised to find that this was one of the rare moments in Europe where you have the option for iced coffees and lattes!
The Quiche - This savory tart offers a soft crust surrounding a cheesy center that you wouldn't believe is vegan. The bacon bits are from a local brand (La Vie) and give the quiche a "meaty" kick.
Brioche a La Praline - Fluffy goodness! This Brioche is a chewy sweet treat with fun crunchy bites of praline. It's sweetness makes it a perfect pair for a coffee!
Troubillon Pécan - The creaminess of this tart will blow you away. Resting on a delicate soft crust, the thick layer of cream is sweet and cloudy. The tart itself has a rich caramely interior.
Matcha Latte - Good quality matcha, however if you like your matcha sweet then maybe opt for a sweeter drink or ask the barista for extra sugar.
Dirty Chai - So far the best Chai Latte we have had in Lyon (though the bar was not too high). Spiced well, balanced sweetness and good kick of coffee.
Enjoy your time at Zoï Bakery, I hope you found this review helpful!

Really loved the pastries and the sandwich here. So good! We did take away, and the only thing I would say is that the sandwich was very cold, like fridge-cold. If we had known we’d have asked to heat it!

Vegan bakery with lots of choices - Edit
Everything is vegan, but not glutenfree. The staff spoke English and was kind. I ordered 3 things, see picture attached. I personally didn't like the snickers, it was just dough and cream on top, little bit caramel. The baked dough stuck extremely to the paper tray and the caramel stuck to the top. The broiche was a nice yeast dough, which I liked, but it was less chocolate than expected. The cinnamon roll was nice too. I think it's just personal preference.

I had a brioche bun with chocolate cream and it was absolutely delicious. Went there to get a croissant, but unfortunately they were out when I arrived, but I was not mad at all. The dough was good and it was filled just right. Absolutely recommend for a sweet little treat!

Great pastries - Edit
We tried the cinnamon roll and the chocolate brioche. Both super delicious. The pumpkin spice latte was truly disappointing. It's just milk and a pumpkin flavoured powder, no coffee or cinnamon really bland...inside is very cosy and everything is vegan. Salty pastries were already sold out.
