Enjoyed the French breakfast but wouldn't go out of my way to have it. The croissant that comes with it was nice and the tofu portion was great especially if you're looking for a decent amount of protein.

Sadly I came too late in the day so didn’t have time to try much on offer but the tart I did was absolutely superb. Delicate and flavoursome, amazing texture and layers. Very impressed. Will return.

This is a vegan restaurant founded in the heart of Lyon by a German woman. Very inventive and tasty food, and lovely staff. They serve lovely cakes, too. Well worth the visit after a busy day sightseeing.

French breakfast was delicious and would recommend! We got a slice of the layer cake whoch was chocolate and hazlenut which was absolutely amazing! We will definitely come back next time we are in Lyon Reasonable prices and good portion size too!

I found this cafe on happy cow and wanted to try it. It is a bit hidden in a side street, so I almost missed it. I had the French vegan breakfast and some slice of bread with hummus and vegetables. I loved both of them. In Lyon, there are a few vegan bakeries, but I was looking for something more healthy after all those pastries. I was more than satisfied. Very delicious.

Enjoyed a tasty breakfast here on a Sunday morning - I arrived before it got busy and I was served fast - I took the French vegan plate which was delicious - and then with a second coffee slice of carrot cake.

Modern, Cool and Incredible Vegan Café - Edit
When I heard that my friend was opening a vegan café in Lyon I was extremely excited. Luckily my trip through France was perfectly timed so that I could visit this amazing café just a few days after it had opened.
Read moreWhen I entered the café the first thing that struck me was how HUGE it is. I had expected seating for 10-16 people maybe, but there is space for around 50 people!
The interior design is modern and industrial with cool, bright lights. I really liked the vibe. The music was a mix of uplifting and funky indie and pop, which I think fit extremely well with the place and the time of day.
The menu had a lot of delicious things; coffee, different kinds of tea, cold drinks, smoothies, sweet food and savory food. There were also a bunch of pastries, cookies and cake at the counter. I had the The French Vegan (15€) which included scrambled tofu, vegan bacon, a vegan croissant and a salad. To drink I had a kettle of Rooibos Capetown. After The French Vegan I had a sugar crêpe (5€) with jam (2€).
First of all, the vegan bacon - WOW! It was the best vegan bacon I've ever had in my life. The second best thing was the crêpe; it was beautifully presented, the consistency was perfect and the jam was delicious. Everything else was amazing as well. The only thing I missed was some spring onion or chives in the scrambled tofu, but I know it's not everyone's cup of tea.
It was eye-opening for me to hear how much work has gone into making this café a reality, and how much work is still going into it. If you want to support the vegan scene and have amazing, sustainable vegan food and drinks in a cool setting - then you need to visit ZEITGEIST Café. I know I'll for sure be coming back the next time I'm in Lyon. :)

A very nice place, the lady behind the desk spoke English without any problem. Fully vegan. What else could you wish for? I know! A lovely slice of cheesecake. And guess what, they had one and I devoured it with great enjoyment. Unfortunately I couldn't stay longer and try out the other wonderful items on the menu. Perhaps I will come back soon and do so. More like this please France! Long live and vegan!

We had breakfast there and I had the French vegan and my gf had the crêpes. The food was nice and the presentation was beautiful but I thought it was a bit on the expensive side. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The place has a cool atmosphere and a relaxing vibe.

We had a very tasty, not too sweet smoothie and a very good hot chocolate. The main dish with blck rice was tasteful and so colourful. Will go there again tomorrow.

Came to rest from a lot of walking, welcomed by a wide selection of different coffee: espresso, V60 and chemex. Had a vegan croissant also so good! Nice and chill in there. They also sell flat white stickers!!

The food was brilliant, absolutely delicious and you could watch the chefs preparing the food. We had the set course which was €28 for one person with an option of a main and a dessert with drink. I got the cheesy pancake with ham, and the blueberry cake for dessert and it was incredible.
Read moreThe service was less good however, and that's the only reason it doesn't get a five. I wasn't given a spoon for my cake, no serviettes were provided either, and we had to ask for water. Other tables had all of these things.
