Good

Had a late night mock duck there, for 10 SGD.
Was good but portion too small.
It’s not a small shop it’s relatively big.
They have another store at Albert mall with the same exact menu. It is also listed here.

Great, fast service and open late

Everyone was very friendly, and the service was incredibly fast. Food was delicious. Nice that they’re open so late compared to other places in the area

Pros: Service , Hours, Delicious food

Okay

Had a range of vegetarian dishes but no soy milk. Also it tasted a bit like old fat. Was okay but nothing out of the ordinary.

Great

• The Mala is quite good. Not much of the ‘ma’ 麻 (numb). We didn’t get to choose the spice level but the taste is just right! Maggie Mee is the default choice of noodles.

• Soy Milk Hot Pot with Xing Hua Bee Hoon. The soy milk turned creamy when it started to boil. Goes well with many of the veggies we selected. As the beehoon is quite fine, it would only require a few seconds to cook in high heat before it breaks apart to smaller bits.

• Fresh Coconut Water Hotpot! Pretty yummy - somehow hot coconut water tasted very soothing. It made the veggies sweet. I think a lil veggie or mushroom stock in it would make it taste even better. Oh, you get to enjoy the coconut flesh afterwards! Can tell they used a fresh young coconut judging but how soft and jelly-like the flesh was!

Very tasty

Simple and small saloon with efficient service. Food is served very fast and the menu counts with several drinks and fresh fruit juice options. Includes bubble tea. The mock meats were great.

Cons: Accepts cash only

okay

I have several pictures of this pace registered already as I have passed it so many times and not visited.
Finally decided to stop in as it's open later than most places in the fortune centre.
There are far better places but Xing Hua is with a visit, although I it would be my first choice. It's difficult as there are some good places here and it's probably the second most expensive place after the great Japanese place next door.
We had mapo tofu, quite spicy but not enough black bean paste, sauted. Broccoli, decent, satay, pretty pish poor, and pineapple to e which we enjoyed the most. Tea was in a bag which is disappointing.
42sgd and I don't thing the cost was terrible but it could be really good with a few small tweaks.
Worth a visit if needed.

Pros: plenty vegan, location

Ma La Xiang Guo 麻辣香锅

I came quite late in the evening when most of the other eateries in Fortune Centre were closed. Noticing that most of their staff were from China, I decided to order something they would eat.

It was my 1st time ordering Ma La Xiang Guo and it seemed like a stir-fried version of the Ma La Steamboats that are so popular in Singapore.

The Ma La Xiang Guo was spicy, fragrant and goes really well with white rice. I think it will go really well with beer too but I doubt they serve alcohol there.

Pros: Superb Ma La Xiang Guo 麻辣香锅

Cons: Pricey - $10+ for that dish alone

There are better alternatives in fortune centre

Average tasting and doesnt justify the price that they charge after renovation. Used to be quite good, but after renovation only the outter looks nice and more pricey. Charges $1 just for laksa take away box, which usually only charges 20 cents

There are other better restaurants in the same building. Go there instead

Pros: Better looking after the reno

Cons: average food and not so cheap anymore

Afternoon Power Up

Grabbed a cup of traditional Kopi @ $1.4 and deep-fried Spring Roll @ $1.2, at Xing Hua Vegetarian Restaurant (Fortune Centre Outlet).

Why come here? Look at the content of the Spring Roll, what’re the ingredients inside? Look deeper, you will find more and more. It’s bean vermicelli and …, therefore it has a different taste and texture. They have fruit juice, bubble tea, snow ice, set meal, Yong Tau Foo, western dishes etc on their menu.

Pros: Spacious, Good menu

Small portion of noodles which was made up by the min order of 6 piece of yong tau foo
little yong tau foo sauce

But won't come bk for yong tau foo

Cons: use of plastic disposable lids

Deceptively affordable

Located in the bustling Fortune Centre area, I stumbled on the restaurant by accident and almost dismissed it as one of the many upmarket European styled cafe/diner eateries in the area. But despite appearances, this turned out to be a pleasant and affordable restaurant, with a menu that could cater to both groups and solo diners. The food prices were cheap (on a par with the numerous veg restaurants in Little India) and the largest expense appeared to be for drinks such as smoothies (and the avacado smoothie was well worth the price). Staff were friendly and spoke English. Recommended.

Pros: Quality of food, Price, Decor
