Fun Brunch

We enjoyed brunch at wildseed. The restaurant has a nice vibe and layout. We took advantage of the nice day and ate outside.

The service was excellent and the food came out quickly and had a very nice presentation. We shared the sourdough French toast and the veggie burger. The French toast included lots of berries and a delicious sauce. The best part was the cream cheese cream on top. The veggie burger was also good. We added cheese and tempeh bacon. It was yummy! It came with fries that were typical fries - nothing special.

My only disappointment was that the vegan version of the protein options were not made in house. They use just egg for their egg entrees instead of creating something with tofu. The burger options included an impossible burger or the veggie patty. Both are store bought patties (we did ask about their veggie patty). I assume their tempeh bacon is as well but did not verify. This is really the reason I gave the restaurant 4 stars instead of 5.

Majorly Disappointed - This place is overhyped.

I had been wanting to try Wildseed for so long, and it was such a letdown. I scoped out the menu online before going and had my heart set on the mushroom pizza. When I got there I found out that they had just changed the menu a couple days prior and there was no more mushroom pizza, the website just wasn’t updated. So I tried the potato pizza…

The potato pizza just wasn’t good. It was super salty and oily, but they had put an enormous amount of rosemary on it and that’s pretty much all I could taste… salty rosemary. I also had the kale Caesar salad, it was just ok. There wasn’t enough kale, and there was too much Parmesan. You’d think that would be a good thing, but it overpowered the salad.

Finally, I had the almond citrus cake with berries… only it’s actually a large muffin. It was dry in some places and ok in others. The berries they topped it with were old or overripe.

Almost forgot to mention they serve Perrier bottled water, which is a Nestle company - one of the worst corporations on the planet with the worst track record when it comes to their bottled water. That certainly doesn’t fit the vibe Wildseed tries to present.

Overall, just so disappointed.

Nice upscale vibe🖤

The menu had a great variety of choices from tapas sized all the way to entrees. Great
mocktails and regular bar. The desert menu looked great too unfortunately I didn't save enough room in my belly. Next time!

Pros: great selection, indoor outdoor seating, ambience was very nice

Delicious meal!

High quality meal service was great. Had the CAMPANELLE AL PESTO with
asparagus, sugar snap peas, english peas, basil pesto, walnuts, coconut parmesan. This was a perfect meal and paired great with Pinot Noir. The veggies were cooked perfectly which gave some crispy freshness to this rich dish. So good!

Always amazing!

My second time in San Fran and my second visit here, and I can easily say I’ll come back again. A great restaurant with a really great menu, delicious flavours, and all already great experience. Would tell any vegan or non-vegan in SF to come here for a truly great meal.

Good food

Wanted to really like this place. I think on a less busy, crowded day we would have. Food was good. Unfortunately food was a bit cold and one of our drinks was mostly alcohol ( think they forgot the bubbly). Overall, still liked the concept and food was over all delicious.

Delicious but Pricy

Mushroom bao buns and cauliflower were great starters. Could not get enough of the Caesar salad! Great cocktails too. Would definitely go again. Only downside is the cost

Delicious! Amazing!

Wildseed was delicious. We ate here twice on our trip because everything we had the 1st time was amazing and we needed to try other menu items. The food, drinks and overall vibe of the restaurant is exactly what you're looking for in a vegan restaurant.

Large open airy seating

Unlike many other SF restaurants, Wild Seed has large space with tables nicely spread out, no running elbows with strange neighbors. Excellent service, had the mezze sampler plate (4*, really liked the salad and coconut feta, also has hummus and ahtenian eggplant), mushroom pizza (6*, one of the best pizzas I've had) , and 2 desserts (both 5*, rich chocolate cake with ice cream and lemon poppyseed cake). Solid espresso martini and an n/a blueberry drink.

Pros: Spacious, Excellent pizza, Fantastic desserts

Cons: Pricey (but SF is expensive)

Fantastic

Everything was perfectly delicious. Especially the curried cauliflower appetizer! I loved that they asked me about my “airflow preferences” when I said I’d prefer to sit indoors. I dislike sitting by a window as I don’t like wind blowing on me while I’m eating. I have never before had anyone ask me about my air flow preferences, and I do have strong ones! I really appreciated that.

Innovative seasonal cuisine

Great spot with a changing menu featuring seasonal dishes that incorporate some traditional foods with some twists. Fancy interior with lots of seating, though originally placed at a small table crammed along the window, upon request was able to move to a more inviting table with a booth.

Good drink selection including n/a options. Ordered two fancy juices; Orange and Green. The green of course had some "green" taste to it but if that's your thing, you will enjoy! The orange was fruity and felt healthy with a good balance of all ingredients.

For food, ordered the Beet Poke, Crispy Brussels Sprouts, and Butternut Squash and Ricotta Ravioli. The beet poke was interesting, I enjoyed it but wasn't overwhelmed. The flavors blended well and had some crunch thanks to the taro ships. The brussels sprouts were excellent, whatever flavoring they use was ultra umami and the dish was eaten quickly! As a ravioli aficionado, this dish was fantastic, blending the veggies and pasta nicely.

And of course, dessert! Warm beet chocolate cake, yes please. All the flavors and textures were divine and was sweet without being sickeningly so.

Overall great experience here and can see why so highly rated here on Happy Cow. Enjoy!

So good!

I've been to Wildseed's Palo Alto location a couple of times but finally made it to the San Francisco location after a fun visit to the museums at the Presidio (highly recommend!).

Wow, our meal was so good!

We shared a winter pizza which was so dang good. I loved the crustiness of the crust, the thin slices of pear, the tempeh bacon. So delicious.

We also shared an Oklahoma Smash Burger which was also great as were the fries.

It was wet and cold out so I also enjoyed an oat milk latte. Nice and strong and it hit the spot.

I'll definitely be returning when I am in San Francisco!

Pros: Excellent food, Friendly server

Great lunch in S.F.!

So happy I came here. I got the tomato and pepper bisque as well as the fall pizza with brussels sprouts Tempe and pears. It was phenomenal! I’m not sure what some people are referring to as some dishes being hit or miss especially for the price because even though I only had two things they were both Five star. Excellent! I would definitely come back here and try multiple other things on the menu. sadly I’m only visiting, but if I lived here, I would be back here pretty often!

Good enough

Not bad, but overall not too impressive. Specifically, I found some items to be underwhelming and the price pretty high for the dishes.

Delicious!

Came for restaurant week! Which is an excellent deal cuz u get to try more items. $60.32 otd including gratuity for one! Kale salad, corn fritter appetizer, pasta entree and choc cake n ice cream for dessert. Everything is made from scratch using FRESH, local produce. You can really tell the difference in quality of the food from the usual Sysco restaurants. Definitely worth skipping taco bell 5 times to eat her once! 😂🤤.

Corn fritters 10/10 cleaned the bowl. Kale salad 9.5/10, loved the addition of dense chewy farro grains for added mouth feel and satiation. Cream cheese frosting w toasted hazelnuts 10/10 - Choc ice cream n cake 7.5/10. Orecchietti Alla Pugliese 6.5/10 more veggie forward then pasta. Red chili flakes spicy. I ate all the vegan sausage and pasta shells. To be fair the pasta, sausage and cheeze sauce were fantastic. I would choose another pasta next time. Packaged up the remaining veggies n cheese to go, for later to be eaten w rice at home.

Vibes: in fancy part of town. U can come dressed up or down (SF usual). I sat outside in nice patio and enjoyed the ppl watching. One of those places where u can linger and catch up w a friend or date. I ate solo 5-615pm Saturday night and enjoyed my experience. Would recommend!

Top Vegan Dining in San Francisco 🌿

The best restaurant we had in San Francisco! Everything was bursting with flavor — we literally didn’t have a single bad dish. Every bite was incredible and perfectly seasoned. A must-visit spot for anyone looking for creative, fully vegan food done right.

Excellent dinner

It was nice to sit outside and eat a fabulous vegan meal while watching the Union St parade of people go by. Our server, Tiffany, was attentive and full of great recommendations. We had the charred artichoke to start. A bit skimpy on the aioli sauce. My partner had orecchiette alla pugliese with the beyond Italian sausage and I had the corn ravioli in the truffled fans milk bechamel sauce. Both were fabulous! We topped it off with the cheese cake and chocolate cake - yum! Expensive but worth a splurge!

Pros: Food is excellent and all vegan, Services excellent , Plenty of outdoor seating

Cons: Pricey, Tables a bit close, Noisy inside
