Awful - Edit
This pub used to serve a number of plant based dishes but it doesn't any more. Not even the chips are vegan.

Good pub grub - Edit
Filing portions of exactly what you would expect from a pub - katsu not chicken with chips, burger with chips and then a sweet dessert to finish it (apple pie cookie, which is just what it sounds like). I'm not sure how often their menu changes as they're a chain.
Read moreUpdate: they changed their menu with the new year, so I'm guessing three times a year? There is now an error on the desserts menu - the sticky toffee pudding is actually vegan (we checked the allergy book) but not listed as such.
Breakfast update: they don't actually have a vegan breakfast listed, but will do you a veggie one and replace the eggs with hash browns if you ask.

Do they cook them with the eggs then? I don't think so. I had a long conversation with the staff there and we came to the conclusion that if they were vegetarian (which they state they are on the menu), then they are also vegan.

They used to be vegan but not any more. I take that to mean they use milk to make them crispy.

Absolutely. I'm a bit bothered that the staff you spoke to didn't know why the chips weren't vegan. It is a legal requirement that the know the ingredients of what they serve.
