Vegan pizza with vegan cheese & vegan sausage

I really wanted to like this new place, the outdoor patio looks so nice & I really wanted to come back for spring/summer to come sit out there & eat pizza & order drinks……….. That will NOT be happening.. First, the pizza was $35 for cheese & sausage & the sausage was sprinkled on, barely had any on there & for that price I expected more. Second, the first pizza came completely burnt like the bottom of the pizza was BLACK lol. They then remade the pizza. The pizza was still semi burnt they said it’s tricky because the vegan cheese… The pizza had a very nasty taste, the crust was so bad & not eatable, me & my boyfriend split a pizza & it was so bad we couldn’t even finish it we were forcing ourselves to finish because it was so expensive…

I would not suggest coming here for the pizza. It was not worth it at all, even if the pizza was $5 for the whole pizza, I wouldn’t pay for it. I really do not recommend any vegan person coming here, my aunt had the non vegan pizza & she didn’t like it either. We love pizza & was sad because the place looks like such a vibe for summer!

Pros: The place looks nice to sit out on the patio

Cons: Nasty taste , Way too expensive, especially for the lil sausage , Cheese sticks to your teeth & mouth

Vegan options seem to be an afterthought

I want to start on a positive note:
I went in about 2 months after opening, on a Thursday evening, and was able to be seated right away. The place was very busy but the service was attentive. Our server was helpful in recommending the basic pizza without the parm & pecorino would be vegan and is a popular choice. I went with that and added mushrooms. Also ordered the garden salad (no cheese) to start. Service was quick and food didn’t take too long to come out.

The salad was good, lots of fresh leafy greens and the strawberries were tasty.

The pizza looked amazing. It was huge! The sourdough crust was perfect crunchy and chewy and was topped with plenty of fresh basil. However it lacked flavor and was really undersalted. I’m not usually one to add salt to my food but in this case I had to. My guess is that the restaurant really relies on their cheese - there are mountains of it on their dishes - so without cheese, the food is underseasoned. I may have felt differently had I ordered vegan cheese and/or vegan sausage, but I wanted a veggie pie, which turned out to be really underwhelming. With other similar NY style pizzerias in town, I probably won’t be back, but I wouldn’t warn someone away either.

Pros: Crust, Vegan cheese & sausage

Cons: Underseasoned, Few options
