I love the food here. There’s a simplicity to the dishes that really works. I think they used to run the Kensington spot before opening here.

I came here for lunch with a vegetarian friend as had been hearing so many wonderful things about this place. I love that everything is vegan and though appreciate soy curls are not meat, I don’t eat mock meats or anything that looks like it , taste or texture. I chose the chickpea curry plate with just pressed sorrel ginger juice. The chickpea curry dish was absolutely delicious and so flavourful! The juice was refreshing especially as it was a hot day.
Read moreThe interior is simple, clean and the colours reflect Rastafarian. The owner came to chat with us and was so friendly and hospitable. I made room for dessert and enjoyed Sweets of the Earth coconut layer cake which have enjoyed at Ital Vital so knew that it would be yummy!!
Want to return to try their mac n cheese, cauliflower bites and crispy king oyster mushrooms!
Definitely pop in! You won’t be disappointed!

Friendly staff, food came fast, small place but big flavours in good portions. We wanted to eat at a fully vegan establishment before going to a concert nearby and were very happy with our choice!

The food here is phenomenal. You can really taste the love and care in the food they make. Everything is incredibly flavourful, that it's kinda hard to pick which sides you want in your meal.

Restaurant small and simple and clean. Service was friendly and prompt. We had the Jerk Soy w rice and beans and BBQ Soy w rice and beans Each came with very tasty plantain and a side of coleslaw type salad. Had it with a sorrel. All was delicious. Sweets from the Earth layer cake for dessert. Will definitely be back for more when in Toronto again.

Best Ital Food in Toronto. Hands down. - Edit
Here's an update since they moved up to Broadview Avenue last year. This has the tastiest Ital Food in Toronto. Better than V's Carribean, Irie Veggie Take-out or even Ital Vital. They used to garner so much buzz at the Vegfests and now you can come here daily and get what you know will be good. They have much seating and tables so you can actually do a proper sit-down with family or friends. Their Macaroni Cheeze is why people crowded them at the Vegfest and why they're coming to their Brick and Mortar storefront now. Not as saucy as Hogtown Vegan but Macaroni Pie isn't supposed to be saucy.

The food is just delicious! went there with a carnivore friend and even she was impressed by the barbecued soy. The juices there are homemade and good for you as well. Quite authentic and cozy in the restaurant.
