Absolutely delicious. Very extensive menu. Breakfast lunch &dinner. Good friendly service. 100% plant based. No exceptions. I am so tired of “vegan friendly “ restaurants that will happily hold the cheese on the salad. Vertical Diner is the real deal. I’m returning tomorrow for breakfast and dinner plus a dinner for take out for road trip.

I’m visiting SLC and have eaten here four times in the last three days. I’ve been consistently impressed in just about every way. The servers are really on top of everything. The breakfast options are great. The “Marry Me” pasta dish is one of the best vegan dishes I’ve ever had.

When traveling, I find myself often settling for “just ok” places to eat with one vegan option and not really thinking about it again. This was not one of those places. After eating every bit of a breakfast biscuit sandwich, fried potatoes, and a milkshake, I was immediately going through the stages of grief knowing that I probably won’t ever experience this place again. This place is a must in SLC.

The menu is huge, so deciding what to order is really hard. Vegan tiramisu is pretty good. NA Pina Colada is wonderful. Nachos good, especially the soyrizo add-on. Burger and fries ok except I think they subbed in a gluten free bun.

What a gem. I got an excellent chicken salad and my husband got a huge stuffed pancake called the dude cake. It was super savory and delicious. My salad was huge, flavorful, and fresh. We sat outside and enjoyed the fabulous temperature of salt lake city in the summer. It was a great experience. They have so much to choose from its difficult to make a decision! Such a wonderful vegan problem to have.

Absolutely delicious breakfast served fast, hot, and with great customer service, what more could you ask for? The menu is huge, with plenty of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus a bakery case filled with cookies, cake, and fudge. I especially loved the old-school vegan staples like the tofu scramble and tempeh bacon. So many vegan spots focus on the newer trends, so it was a nostalgic treat to find these classics still on the menu.

The giant menu reminds me so much of the diners I went to as a kid in New Jersey with great portions and tons of options - just all vegan! Everything I have tried here has been delicious and I always hope to get the opportunity to come back to Salt Lake for work just for another stop at my favorite vegan diner - Vertical Diner.

I normally have more of the American style food at this restaurant. But recently I got to try the sopes. The were so good. Just like authentic Mexican food but vegan. We also had other breakfast foods that morning. We had scrambled tofu, sausage, pieties and pancakes. We added mushrooms as a side which was a little expensive ($4) but tasty.
