i visited this place a few months ago and i must say it was so cute. you wouldn’t expect it to be in a building like that, but it was there! the front part has a little shop where they sell things like mock meats, natural protein powders, vegan oyster sauce (SO GOOD!), microwavable meals/dishes (3 for $100), and more! everyday the daily lunch changes and they’ll make it for you; it’s pretty affordable too.
Read morethe lady there was really open to chatting, and she said she originally had breast cancer which led her to become veg, and they opened their store 17 years ago, in addition to her Buddhist beliefs.
i bought three of their microwavable dishes, and the 紅燒肉 was sooo yummy! super easy to reheat and tastes delicious
although the lighting was a bit stark, the vibe there was really homey in the sense that they are really passionate and care for their family business. definitely recommend giving them a visit even just to pop by!

Veggie Smart is excellent affordable option if you’re looking for vegetarian / vegan lunchboxes. 39 HKD for one lunchbox and 100 HKD for three. And the portions are generous.

I spoke to the owner and you can place specialized orders for a party and specify your requirements (e.g. more spicy / no garlic etc).
You can also visit them to buy frozen foods, groceries and snacks.

they moved from Tai Po to San Po Kong. The variety of foods has continued to increase but the price has not changed! it is way too... too... too cheap! And the lunch menu is different every day, just want to remind everyone, you can bring your own lunch box to buy a take-away ~

This small market for vegetarian/vegan dry goods and in house prepared frozen meals also serves hot lunch Monday through Friday. It is on the 17th floor, and the little dining area overlooks a community park. I showed up on a Saturday because I hadn't read the lunch hours correctly, I didn't have access to an oven or a microwave at my hotel so none of the nice prepared foods would work for me. The owner went above and beyond and offered to make me a veggie fried rice, it was the absolute nicest thing! The portion was very generous, the flavor was delicious. He had some vegan chocolate muffins in the freezer case that I took with me for later, and it was also yummy. The owner did not have to make me lunch on a day the kitchen was closed, and I can't say enough about how kind and generous that action was. The little market had some very interesting goods, if I could have carried home a bottle of the vegan oyster sauce I would have! I highly recommend giving this shop a chance :)
