Solid mapo tofu - Edit
Decent ambiance… clearly a family run place. Making food very fresh. Weeknight late was empty around 9 pm …… but lots of take out orders on a week night!
Read moreBut if it’s spicy Chinese you’re craving… mapo tofu is the best ever!…

Great fun with friends! - Edit
It's not super obvious what's vegan and what isn't, but it's definitely possible to ask for the egg to be removed from any dishes. The food is delicious, especially the bean curd noodles and the mapo tofu over the crispy rice :)

Eh, don’t bother - Edit
It was the most disappointing meal and service I’ve had in Japan. And there seems to be some confusion about whether there even is a fully vegetarian restaurant at this address. Unless there was a secret invisible annex restaurant that I missed, there is only this place that is vegan-friendly and has a vegetarian/vegan menu, but also serves all kinds of meat.
Read moreThe dumplings and cucumber salad were good, but the snap peas in the tofu dish I ordered were absolutely from a can and not fresh. They had that distinctive canned-vegetable taste. The waitress was aloof and seemed annoyed by us, which I try to take in stride because we don’t speak Japanese (or Mandarin, in this case) and she didn’t appear to speak much English, so locals are bound to get annoyed at some point in the day to have to deal with the language barrier. (To be clear: I am not complaining that she didn’t speak English. It’s not up to her to make sure foreigners are understood if they don’t speak the language.) Still, she just kind of dropped our dishes on the table when they were ready, which took a long time, considering there were only two other groups there. (One of which was a jovial pack of middle-aged guys who seemed to be having a great time, so that lightened the mood.) She also got our order wrong and left out an entire entree. By the time we realized it, it wasn’t worth flagging. The experience was not awful, but considering the high level of service and cuisine you can get in Japan at a very reasonable rate, this was a miss. I would not go back.

Are you sure you went to the right restaurant? There are several Chinese restaurants in this building. The fully vegetarian one is on the second floor and has a sign saying "vegetarian". The front of the menu also says "vegetarian".

Lots of choice - Edit
There was a lot of choice, the majority being vegan. The food was good, slightly spicy, and the service was rapid. It’s a calm place in the very busy neighborhood.

Tasty vegan Chinese food (mostly) - Edit
Chinese vegetarian but plenty of vegan options so need to clarify with staff. 纯素 (chún sù, "pure vegetarian/vegan") or 全素 (quán sù, “totally vegetarian/vegan”) is what you should say, luckily menu has English and does say eggs, there is also a buns with condensed milk otherwise should be good.

Delicious vegetarian authentic Chinese Food - Edit
Delicious almost vegan food. Only one thing on the menu had egg and they said it is frequently omitted. They fully understand what vegan is. I didn’t see anything with fake meat. Almost entirely whole food plant based and many dishes can be made without oil. Upstairs on the second floor.

Great choices - Edit
Loved the huge menu available for vegetarian dining. They were also happy to change any items to be vegan. The food was delicious and very authentic Chinese tasting. They were happy to bag up leftovers for us. The owner was very kind and helpful.

Large portions and many options - Edit
Good varied menu with lots of options for both veg and vegan. Can ask for the rice without egg to make vegan. Would recommend the aubergine and potato dish m, as well as the veg fried rice. Friendly service. It’s on the second floor. Has a big sign out the front stating ‘vegetarian’ with pics of Chinese food.

Tricky to find as it is not on ground level and the signs are easily missed but worth the search as it has an incredibly varied vegan menu.

Vegetarian Chinese Meals - Edit
Dedicated vegetarian menu with many options. The waitresses and chef were very conscientious and checked several times that I could eat egg, so they seem to be used to vegans too. The vegetarian menu is written in Chinese, however, and the English menu is less clearly marked. Other than this, the food was proper southern Chinese style - delicious!

Overpriced and underdelivered - Edit
Honestly not worth the walk it took to get there. Left feeling sick and underwhelmed. Even the water tasted abnormal compared to what I am used to in japan
