Best dough & great pizza !!! A must visit - Edit
I've been vegan 25 years amd have craved vegan pizza this good for that long. Forget about the days when there were no vegan cheese options. Nowadays many vegan options are available and they seem to rely too heavily on a cheese replacement. This is a travesty and totally neglects the importance of quality dough.
Read moreThey ferment the dough for four days and you can taste rhe difference in quality from all the rest---vegan or not.
This is the kind of handmade food that is worth waiting for.
I tried both the thin & thick crust. They offer the thick crust is smaller pizza sizes, thankfully, or I would have been rolling home.
The owner makes the pizza and delivers it to your table. That's amore folks!
If you like pizza then don't hesitate to go here.
Pros: quality ingredients , fresh handmade, friendly staff

Very nice owners - Edit
The dough of the pizza is incredible. They fermente their own dough for a few days!! They were two guys working there and they were both very nice. We went there on a Saturday night and they were very busy. They were upfront about the waiting time and we still decided to stay as you could tell the pizzas were worth the wait.

Wow! - Edit
We visited during their soft opening and were so glad we did! While I’m a big fan of loads of vegan cheese and meat it’s nice to see some pizzas offered that rely more on vegetables.

Easily the best authentic Neapolitan style pizza in Budapest. Staff is very friendly, place is clean and an AC is also in the works as of the owner. Can only recommend for those who seek unique tastes and and experience, recommended even for non vegans.

Mixed feelings so far - I liked the old place better - Edit
I used to really like this place before it closed down a few years ago, so I was following them and was very happy to see they have finally reopened. While the pizza dough they use is still marvellous, and the pizza I tried (Pizza Ungherese with the Canotto dough) tasted great, I sadly couldn't help but leave with mixed feelings, because I was really looking forward to be able to eat my old favourites again: funghi (or better: porcini, which was a monthly special), ricotta, verde... however, the staff has confirmed that they have slightly rebranded and are not planning to bring any of these back 😒 I really hope they will expand their menu in the future, because the reason why I chose Ungherese was that I didn't really like the other options on the menu. Sadly, the drink options/variety also leaves something to be desired: if someone doesn't want to drink water or alcohol and can't drink caffeine (cola is the only bottled soft drink option on the menu rn), they are basically left with homemade lemonade, which tastes fine, but comes in 0.5l only, which was way too much for me and I couldn't drink it all, which is a waste of both money and the beverage.

Napoli-style pizza, fully vegan, cool staff, even the chef walks around the tables to make sure everything tastes good. Highly recommended for vegans and non-vegans alike.

I've eaten a lot of vegan pizzas in my life and I never ate better than here. Incredibly tasty for a very fair price. They also serve an alternative Coca Cola named fritz-kola which tastes much better. Can't recommend enough!

Vegazzi is in a van in a courtyard with a ruin bar. You can eat outside or if it’s bad weather you can also ask them to bring your food inside.

Amazing! - Edit
Vegazzi is located in the ruin bar Anker‘t (so, Not a Restaurant in the traditional sense) and offers a small selection of vegan pizzas BUT they are extraordinarily good and the staff was super nice and helpful. We had to wait just 5 minutes for our first pizza, since they use an actual wood fired oven and the result is just perfect, with a dough so soft and crispy at the same time. And their Mozzarella substitute is really amazing.

Heavenly! - Edit
We tried three pizzas - one with rice mozzarella, one with a spicy sausage (bolognese like) and one with mushed mushrooms. The first two were 10/10. Truly amazing - especially the dough. And the mushroom one was okay, but nothing special.
