100% plant-based restaurant with a lot of choices. The prices are normal and the portions are substantial. The staff is very kind. I'd suggest you book in advance during the weekends.

The tortellini - Edit
We had the tortellini with tomato sauce and a croissant with chocolate. The tortellini were made by the staff and you could feel it - the texture was great. However, the tomato sauce was rather bland, if not a tad sour. And the serving was very small, while the price was pretty high (around 8 tortellini for 8€). The croissant was good. The staff were very very friendly, though; we were standing around in front of the place waiting for the siesta to end (around 7 pm) and the staff were really nice upon arriving, they allowed us to sit down and look at the menu even before actually opening...

Awesome vegan food, very wide choice. Their falafels are very good but so is everything else. Fresh ingredients, quality food, fully vegan. Sometimes the portions are a little small but only when it comes to a few dishes.

Ristorante piccolino, ma molto bello e accogliente. Personale gentile e premuroso, sempre attento alle richieste del cliente. Ultimo ma non meno importante il cibo, che è stato davvero soddisfacente, di altissima qualità e completamente vegan (io consiglio di provare i formaggi vegani, sono davvero buonissimi!!). Sono molto soddisfatta e ritornerò sicuramente!!

We went to this cozy little place, which is 100% vegan and had a really enjoyable meal. I had a piadina (green because of spirulina) with thyme soy chunks, vegan cheese and mayo, salad and tomatoes and it was amazing! The choice is very wide so it was really difficult to only pick one dish... they also have quite a few fresh desserts. Definitely worth it, two mains and a dessert for about 20€.

I had the risotto of the day and a ginger Spritz. I wasn't super impressed by the food but maybe it was just a bad choice on my part. Would have to give it another go to really judge Universo Vegano.

Nice restaurant, it's actually no more Universo Vegano, but it's called Veganda now. I had a superb pasta with rucola pesto, several appetizer, and an amazing creamy cup cake!

Read moreDas Essen war mehr als hervorragend die Betreiber gaben sich viel Mühe. Leider waren nur sehr wenig Besucher dort. Das zu sehen, tat mir im Herzen weh.
Ich kann jedem wirklich nur empfehlen hier vorbei zuschauen wenn man sowieso in Padua/Padova ist. Einfach nur top!

non avevamo molta fame quindi abbiamo solo preso un piatto a testa, però la selezione era infinita e avrei voluto provare molti più piatti! Tutto buono, piccola pecca però, ho preso gli spaghetti crudisti di zucchine e dato il prezzo speravo di aver avuto il piatto con un po’ di più condimento. Personale gentile!

We tried the breaded tofu cutlet with rosemary potatoes and the Turkish vebab style piadine and they were both delicious. Also their red wine selection is pretty good and the red wine mojito cocktail was definitely something else!

I had dinner at Universo Vegano a couple of times. I tried the vegan carpaccio, one of the soups, and a 'tuna' pizza. All of those meals were super good, I loved it, and so did my omni and veggie friends!

This was a great option in a city with few vegan options. I was hungry and chose the big meal which included a burger and potatoes and salad. My partner had a smoothie and pizza. The smoothie was delicious. I also had the Sacher torte which was rich but yummy. Friendly and helpful service too.

After being first highly excited finding a vegan restaurant with (in my view) too many options, disappointment kicked in very quickly. Not only pizzas and lasagnas were out of stock (one has told us this after we have alreday decided for these two options), alternatives were not utterly tasteful and portions quite small.

We ordered nuggets, some spicy soup, lasagna and a panini with tofu... and we had been rather dissatisfied with the taste of the food ... only the soup was actually tasty. Lasagna was mushy, flat and tasteless . Nuggets come with no side sauce. Panini sandwich was missing something sour (like a pickle). Unfortunately we cannot recommend this place ... :(
