Read morein Ponta do Sol! Hana and Christian really created something special here and you can hear their passion for the amazing cheeses they create in every word. The cheeses were outstanding, especially the truffle camenbert and the gorgonzola (although we usually are not big fans of gorgonzola). Also outstanding was their hospitality. Although the Veganaria only opens on fridays and saturdays, they agreed that we could pick up some cheeses for my birthday on a tuesday. When we came back on saturday to try more cheese, I even got a piece of belated birthday cheesecake.
Visiting Veganaria alone is enough reason to travel to Madeira again ๐

Wir waren gleich zwei mal hier, weils so lecker war und wir uns durch die Speisekarte probieren wollten. Alles hausgemacht, mit viel liebe zum Detail angerichtet. Artisan vegan cheese to die for! - Edit
A lovely little place in a small shopping mall, near the sea ๐ the selection of artisan cheeses were incredible and some tasty other options also. The cheesecake was scrumptious ๐ and the owners were extremely friendly and knowledgeable, with lots of passion for their fresh food. One of our party was GF and that wasn't a problem at all, as the freshly baked bread was GF also and delicious. Highly recommend this fab place, we stayed for over 2 hours completely relaxed and content ๐๐ผ

Beautiful little place for cheese lovers. We had a magistral reception and welcoming by one of the owners. It was wonderful to learn all cheese is homemade by them. We wanted to get the 5 cheese platter, but I didnโt like the sound of fruit and cheese (weird I know) so instead they made us a savoury board. I canโt thank them enough for that because it was the best thing Iโve ever in my life.
It had 5 different cheeses, lox, nuts, bread, dehydrated cucumber, sun-dried tomatoes and crackers.
All of the cheeses were different flavours and textures. We loved the sun-dried tomato cream cheese - so much so we bought some to have in our sandwiches on the plane home the next day. I also adored the aged old cheese, which had recently won an award. After being vegan for 4 years, Iโve not tried a vegan cheese that has tasted so cheesy before. The texture was also perfect - creamy and rich.
We walked around the local beach and then went back to veganaria for some of their cheesecakes. I forgot what cheesecake tasted like and now I canโt stop thinking about these two! We got the berry crumble and the almond flavours to try. Both of them were incredible, I get emotional thinking about them lmao.

Der Umweg hat sich absolut gelohnt! Wir mussten unbedingt vor Ende unseres Urlaubs noch vorbeischauen und den leckeren Kรคse probieren. Leider hatten wir vorher schon gegessen und konnten deshalb nicht mehr die Kรคseplatte bestellen. Aber wir wurden super lieb empfangen und konnten die Kรคsesorten erstmal durchprobieren bevor wir uns entschieden haben, was wir mitnehmen. Wirklich alles war mega lecker! Am meisten hat uns der Kรคse mit Trรผffel und rosa Pfeffer รผberzeugt. Kaffee und Kuchen gabs dann auch noch und den Kรคse haben wir abends mit Brot am Strand genossen๐

Wow, der Veg-Zarella ist der Wahnsinn, viel besser als herkรถmmlicher Mozzarella und der beste vegane, den ich bisher gegessen habe. Das gleiche gilt fรผr den Veg-gonzola, sooo cremig und fein. Alle anderen Sorten stehen den beiden genannten nicht nach, einfach nur ein Genuss!
Und dazu kommt noch die freundliche Bedienung und die tolle Beratung.
Also, wer auf Madeira ist, sollte den kleinen Laden unbedingt besuchen.

One of the best vegan cheeze I have ever tried! They offer different vegan cheese alternatives - all home-made, of which I chose the โblue cheeseโ style. The coffee was also great and the cake looked delicious (we came just a little too late and missed the last piece). The small cafรฉ was very busy but the owners were super friendly and took their time to explain their products. Great experience, must visit!

We had the glorious five cheeseplatter, the velvet lox and the pita pocket. Every dish was super tasty and we have not seen anything like it before. The cheese is made by the owners themselves and tastes amazing. The store is located in a small shopping center and is cozy and inviting to sit in. The owners are super friendly and answered all of our questions. We had a real good time and will definitely come back on our next trip to Madeira! Totally recommending Veganaria. Had the best experience. We tried the 5 cheese platter and the pitta pocket. Amazing flavours and very knowledge and friendly staff. The โsalmonโ carrot was so similar in flavour to the real thing.
