Amazing food, reasonable prices - Edit
Our first day in Macau and we decided to go here. It was a walk from our hotel and walk through the cobbled stones street and the last portion which is pedestrians only was amazing.
Read moreThe inside is small and cozy. Well clean and service was good. Our server was English speaking and that helped us determine what vegan dishes to order. Most of the menu is vegan friendly and many dessert options are with dairy.
Our vegan Steamed Dumplings were good. Freshly steamed and piping hot. The sauce provided was too bland for us. The Vegan Fish Ball soup was also good. Good flavour of the stock and plenty of vegetables and vegan fish balls. The vegan fish balls did taste a bit “fishy” (not in a bad way).
The Vegan Mapo Tofu with rice made blue pea flower was absolutely the best. The rice itself was amazing - did not the blue pea flower could add so much flavour. The Mapo Tofu itself was spicy - not too much - and tofu and ground protein was the best. A bit oily and flavour bomb.
Wish we were in Macau for a few more days and we could have tried many more dishes.

Misleading - Edit
Staff are all nice and polite but I’m not sure they know the difference between vegetarian and vegan food. Had a ‘pork’ bun, but realised after it was probably with egg mayo. It was a little undercooked too and pretty bland. Place could do with a clean

Veggie food close to St Paul - Edit
This place is VEGETARIAN, and vegan friendly if you speak Mandarin (the waiter didn't speak Cantonese or English). Many dishes are fully vegan but not marked, and many contain eggs or milk (especially the desserts).
Read moreThe location is definitely a plus, and the food was average.
Pros: Location
Cons: Language barrier, Misleading name (Serves vegetarian food)

NOT VEGAN - Edit
The name “Vegan Lovers” seems to be a translation error. I am 99.34% sure this is a vegetarian restaurant. They didn’t seem to understand when we asked if there was egg or dairy in the food, and the menu doesn’t have any dietary markers. Ended up slowly realizing that I was eating real egg and mayo. Currently going through the 5 stages of grief. They should rebrand to “Vegan Betrayers”. Also Happycow should change this listing to a vegetarian restaurant.

Maybe not vegan - Edit
We came in the afternoon to ask about opening hours, the man told us 20h.
Read moreWe came back in the evening and asked about the buffet (all the dishes were there in the open), he said ok but then the lady was telling him something and he said the buffet wasn’t a possibility so we had to pick regular dishes.
We had the scallion pancake (much like a regular western pancake, not Chinese style), crunchy spicy veggies and a pot with tofu and vegetables, everything was very good.
I asked about two desserts, the soft serve ice cream and the coconut milk dessert, the lady told me both had cow milk, so it seems more that it’s a vegetarian restaurant than vegan.
The menu is both in Chinese and English
Pros: Good food
Cons: Mentionnee as vegan but might not be
