Juicy burgers, tasty french fries, small, crowded restaurant - Edit
We've been to this restaurant countless times since it opened, and have tried most of the burgers available. So far I liked everything – on less adventurous days I order the sweet potato burger (my favourite!), but the broccoli millet burger I had last time also did not disappoint😄What I personally like the most in these burgers is that they are very, very juicy. We usually order sweet potato fries too, which are also very good (and rather soft, not crunchy). For drinks we usually have homemade lemonade, offered in many tastes, made from cleaned still water. If these are not enough, you can put together a salad from the many options available in the self-serve salad bar.
Read moreHowever, there are some downsides to the tastiness: the restaurant is always crowded. On a workday, during the day, on a weekend, during lunchtime, you name it. As a result, we often have to wait before a table becomes free and we can sit down, and of course the crowd also affects preparation time: if in a hurry, it’s better to ask about when you can expect your food to be ready before you order. Once we had to wait a full hour for our burgers – we were told less, had we known they will take so long to prepare, we would have eaten elsewhere that day. I think an expansion or a second store somewhere else is long overdue.
Another “issue” we have with them is that the store also pops up at festivals and events (like Vegan Sunday Markets held in Ankert once a month, Vegan Food Fests, or Christmas markets), and on these occasions they offer limited edition burgers. The issue here is that these burgers often taste even better than the regular ones on the menu – my husband often complains about liking the limited burgers much more than the ones on the menu. The vegan donuts the restaurant sells during the above listed events are also not available in the actual restaurant.
One more thing worth mentioning: over the past years we’ve experienced a fluctuation in the quality and taste of the hot sauce. Both the hubs and I are hot food lovers, so we usually order the sweet potato fries with hot sauce – but the taste of the sauce is never the same! In the beginning it was hot as hell, even to our trained tastebuds, then it got less hot, and its taste was OK. The last time we've been to the restaurant (early January 2019), the sauce was changed again, and tasted like tomato/pizza sauce with some hot spices thrown in. We did not like it at all.

Be sure you take the towell - you will need it. Dishes are full of sauces and yummy. We had one from Burgers and Cheese steak sandwich. Both excellent. Best vegan junkfood that we had in Budapest.

Burgers and fries were tasty, but I was kinda disappointed despite the hype around Vegan Love. The place is very very small and there were lots of people which made it almost impossible to find a seat without some luck and even when you have encountered a seat, you feel very stressed to leave and eat your meal as quickly as possible. Maybe it was just a busy hour/day, but I couldn't enjoy my meal as I was stressed out by the queue next to me and the people in the line staring at every table in hope for free seats.

Definitely my favourite place in Budapest. We had a vegan gluten-free Mexican burger, BBQ chicken burger, mac'n'cheese and chocolate icecream. Both burgers were bomb, the creamy mac'n'cheese was a heaven on Earth and we loved the ice cream as well.

The only thing that I really did not like on their menu was the phillie cheesesteak seitan sandwhich, it's just seitan and cheese. It's really plain compared to their other things filled with juicy vegies and sauces, it didn't really have a taste at all.
Their mac'n'cheese is top tier though and they can make stuff gluten free aswell if that is your thing.
The pricerange is at what you would consider as avarage in the vegan food game.
Pros: Their fries. Amen, Kind of large selection and seasonal stuff
Cons: Intense sauces can make some burgers taste similar

I had the Juicy Lucy burger, which has vegan cheese mixed into the veggie patty and a barbecue sauce. The first bite I took was scary - the taste was so similar to a classic hamburger that I stopped, looked at the patty again to check for the veggies and reminded myself I am in a vegan place. Absolutely amazing! With a side of French fries and bio cola.

This place was incredible. Good variety of options on the menu, and oh so tasty. I had the Philly cheese steak the first time I went and it was so cheesy and seitan-y, it was glorious. The second time I went I had the Shiitake Quinoa burger and that was the best food I had whilst staying in Budapest. I took three meat eaters there and they also loved it, so much so that they were happy to go back for seconds!

We had their food 3 times during one night at Sziget festival, it was a bit pricy there but it was so amazing! The mac and cheese, sausages, loaded fries, everything. Unfortunately no pictures as it was raining at Sziget but amazing food!

Quite simply the best vegan fast food place ever. The burgers are beautiful , the hot dogs are heavenly, the Mac and cheese is heart melting. We initially went to the vegan love stand at sziget festival and it was so good we walked to the actual restaurant in the city.

We walked 2.6 miles to get to this place and we'd do it again. There isn't much seating available, only about 5 tables but we were lucky and it wasn't too busy. We ordered the pita (which was on the small side), a philly cheese steak and fries. All of it was delicious. The only thing I'd say could be improved is the customer service (and the fact that you pay for tap water 🙈) We didn't really know how it works and staff wasn't very directive. It turned out the water would come with the meal, but not the other drinks, those you take right away and the pita will be put somewhere different from the other food because you fill it with sauces and salad yourself 🤷🏼♀️ Despite this, we'd definitely come back!

The food was really delicious I do promise. The burgers are huge with a lot of options. If you want to eat healthy this is not the place for you, but if you want a big and tasty burger dripping with sauce and crispy fries then this is perfect. The staff was kind of rude though and the seating indoors are small and uncomfortable with a lot of sounds from the kitchen. I would recommend buy your food here but then go to sit somewhere else like in a nearby park.
