Best avocado on toast we’ve ever had - Edit
Came for dinner breakfast the next day. Quite expensive but quality food and ingredients
Read moreAvocado toast - best we’ve ever had
Scrambled tofu sujuk- seasoning and flavours were so good
Borek (spinach cheese) - best thing we had in the evening, full of flavour and good textures
Traditional ravioli - meat fillings and creamy sauce were so good
Kebab - good but not amazing
Brownie - heavenly but needs the ice cream otherwise slightly dry
Tiramisu - big portion and really good
Only thing we didn’t like was the peanut butter latte - it’s just a latte with scoop of peanut butter which doesn’t blend and sits at the bottom, you can’t taste it
Pros: Avo toast, Borek (spinach cheese) , Traditional ravioli
Cons: Peanut butter coffee , Price

Fresh, delicious, sooo good - Edit
Amazing little restaurant and adjacent store. I had some delicious green lentil manti for lunch; the earthiness of the lentils and the freshness of the tomato sauce were such a good match. I loved the food so much that I came back for dinner on the same day. I went for the soup of the day, which was a light yet flavorful yogurt soup. Can only recommend!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING - Edit
The best place I had in Istanbul! The manti was amazing, and I still think about it even now that I’m back home. The Kebab was also amazing and so flavorful. We also got the regular raviolis and they were fine, but definitely order the Turkish ravioli if you’re deciding between the two. The homemade savory pie “börek” was also a top favorite of the evening!

Great Food and Friendly Folks - Edit
We came into the establishment well prepared with a menu from months before thanks to Happy Cow. Because the eatery was so far away from our hotel, we ordered a host of dishes to carry back and refrigerate over the remaining days of our stay.
Read moreThe staff at Vegan Dukkan Lokanta (VDL) was quite friendly and chatted with us as we waited for our order to be completed while our non-vegan ride circled the block. They offered us tea and a refreshing cucumber water along with engaging conversation. They had golden oldies playing in the background and that just added to the ambience.
What we ordered:
The spaghetti.
The ravioli without lentils.
Adana kebab on rice.
Quiche
Apple crumble
Tiramisu
Brownie with ice cream
The lemonade,
Our favorites were:
The Spaghetti
The Tofu Katsu curry.
Adana kebab on rice.
Apple crumble.
The brownie and ice cream.
Tiramisu
Spaghetti - lovely
Turkish pasta does not appear to be salted the way we do in the Caribbean and the US but the sauce and the meatballs balanced everything out
Tofu Katsu Curry - very nice
The curry was flavorful and a welcome dish after having only sauted veggies for breakfast at the hotel (nice but not 100% satisfying) the breaded tofu went well with the curry and rice.
The Adana kebab on rice was scrumptious. The white sauce was light and yummy. And the paste over the rice had a nice hint of hot pepper here and there for flavor.
The apple crumble was delish. It was crumbly on the edges and cake-y in the middle. So glad we ordered that.
Delish.
The brownie and the ice cream were really nice. The brownie was rich, as it should be, and the ice cream was a nice treat.
The Tiramisu…omigoodness!!!! I don’t remember how non vegan Tiramisu tastes but wow, VDL’s version is a must try, in my books.
I wanted to try the Magnum ice cream bar, but I understand the manufacturer may have discontinued them 😭.
Folks, I really wanted to have pics of every meal but we were usually so hungry from exploring and then fighting to get things warmed up at our hotel (they were not too happy with outside food), that we just devoured some dishes forgetting to snap pics. If you are in Istanbul take some time to try VDL. Hands down they were the best we had on our stay.
10 out of 10, highly recommend!

We enjoyed our meal very much. They had an English menu too. The menu is extensive and we had the eggplant dish and carrot cake with a special cream and strawberries. Coffee also which was excellent. The seats outside are shaded and there is seating inside also

Excellent food with Turkish focus , we had the Turkish ravioli and amazing smoked eggplant with ‘meatballs ‘ . It’s at the pricey end but it’s a real treat. Sitting outside added that extra street watching with all the Istanbul cats wandering by

Increíble sitio en Estambul - Edit
Son muy amables. La kombucha de lavanda riquísima. Probamos el hummus de remolacha (muy rico), la berenjena espectacular y los raviolis exquisitos también. El pan que te ponen está calentito.

The food in here is beyond delicious! There is a big variety to choose, and all of them looked incredible. I wish I could eat them all!!! The ingredients used are super fancy, and due to that the prices are higher.

Classy and delicious! - Edit
Fresh, beatifully presented and delcious dinner! The spinach and cheese savory pie was amazing, an app to share for sure. The Adana Kebab and tofu katsu curry were each perfect meals. Generous portions. Small place with limited seating indoors and out. Tiramisu was also nice, large enough to share.

Perfect spot - Edit
The most gorgeous vegan eatery with plenty of choice, brilliant staff and delicious food. Small inside with only 3 tables but makes it a lovely homey feel. There is also outdoor seating. We also had the company of 3 little cats. We ate the kebab, ravioli and tiramisu and everything was 10/10. A must visit !

Great vibe, good food! - Edit
I wasn’t even hungry, but wanted to check out this little restaurant on half a day in Istanbul between two legs of a flight. That’s why I didn’t go for the kebab or manti, which seemed really delicious on the menu. The “lighter” option, avocado salad with tempeh, was a huge portion of flavour: fresh greens, topped with marinated tempeh and a handful of sprouts. The place has a beautiful interior design with a lot of plants and some activism art on the wall, and attentive service. All of the above contribute to a great vibe and I’m looking forward to being back to try the other delicacies as well!

Word of warning - the place is tiny - only four tables, so maybe coming early or booking ahead is necessary.
