Delicious food - Edit
Unpretentious restaurant with a daily menu. The owner is super nice, and you will have the company of cute cats. Went in nov/2025.

Lovely vegan restaurant - Edit
Highly recommend this restaurant in Istanbul. We came twice and had the seitan wrap and then the raviolis. The wrap was extremely tasty. Recommend the brownie too, it was very fudgy. It is run by a lady who is so nice, and cats come and go in the restaurant.

Fine - Edit
I expected a lot more. The food was fine. It was vegan. That's it.
Read moreThe atmosphere wasn't great. The restaurant is in a basement in a side alley. So no sunlight.
The food was expensive. I payed more than 20€ for Kebab and a tea.
The food wasn't great. It's nice that they have Seitan Kebap. But it wasn't crispy, it was just wobbly. The tomato sauce was uninspired, iceburg lettuce is boring. The bread was soggy.
The owners attitude I didn't like. She was polite but not particularly friendly. She turned other people away who wanted to drink tea and eat just dessert because it was dinner time. Although the place was almost empty.
It was cold. The door was open for a long time and with a basement room, it gets cold quickly.
Misc: half the menu wasn't available.
All in all I wouldn't come here again.

Great food and nice hosts - Edit
A very chill place. All the food was vegan and the owners came out and checked a lot on us. We had iskander kebab which was absolutely amazing. For desert we had the brownie which was also really nice. We recommend trying the apple tea that they serve even though they forgot to put it on their sign.

Very good restaurant and very kind people - Edit
Vegan comunity kitchen is a restaurant with very good food, plates such as ravioli or vegan durums. But, the most important thing is that they are compromised people with the vegan movement. For example, they have a rescue house with 7 cats and one dog. If you want to eat somewhere where veganism isnt just a fad, this is your place.

Home cooked delicious Turkish food - Edit
The owner is very lovely and makes all the dishes herself! Everything is a vegan take on typical Turkish food. Everything we had was very tasty! We totally recommend going there!

Delicious and authentic Turkish food! - Edit
Had a wonderful meal here tonight. The food is tasty and portions are very large. The owner, Oya, is friendly and hospitable. The restaurant is impeccably clean and smells great. Oya is an accomplished knitter-I bought one of her hats for only US$15!

Lovely homemade food - Edit
Really enjoyed a meal here - and meeting the lovely owners and cats! Lots of delicious options to choose from. We can recommend the aubergine ravioli and the kebab, both of which were delicious. Compared to other places in Istanbul the meal was a little pricey, but it's a small place and they rescue cats so we didn't mind!

Very nice food, atmosphere just okay - Edit
We had limited choice of food as we went on New Year’s Eve (3 options). We had manti, kebab & köfte and they were all very nice. Atmosphere was not the best tbh and it smelled a bit funny but the owner was very nice and friendly.

Very tasty. However small portions (we needed to go to another place directly afterwards). Also a bit pricey, approx 600lira.

Veganized Turkish comfort food - Edit
Even though this place serves dishes that don't sound healthy (kebab and mantı/pasta mainly), the food has a very homemade vibe to it, my kebab plate had a mountain of homemade seitan, but also loads of veggies on it. The grains, sumac and her "parmegiano" (ground pumpkin seeds with nooch) added the extra flair to the food, which I really liked. Owner is also very chatty and adorable and told us of her rescued cats, the area and Istanbul recommendations. A bit pricy but definitely worth it!

So good - Edit
I visited this place with my partner — he had the kebab, and I had the sweet-potato ravioli. For dessert, we ordered the brownie. Everything was so delicious that on our next trip to Istanbul we will definitely come back to this place. The owner’s kindness makes you feel genuinely welcome, and the cozy vibe of the place makes it even more enjoyable.
