Visited the Alamo location. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious vegan food. Had the Grieco Bowl and Pad Thai. Both really good, but especially like the bowl. Will definitely return.

We ordered the tacos and the vegan chicken skewers (heura) with satay sauce sweet potato noodles- both delicious! We ordered the crumble with ginger cream and blackberry icecream for dessert, also tasty but would have preferred the crumble hot.

Small, cozy space serving international vegan dishes like risotto, pad thai, and curry, not far from the Plaza de Espana. I highly recommend the burrata (even my non-vegan companions couldn't believe it was vegan!) and mushroom croquettes. The green risotto was very visually stunning. The carrot cake was delicious! They also have a dessert tasting platter so you can try all the desserts. Nice selection of drinks, including a refreshing yellow wine.

He ido tanto sola como en grupo y siempre me han atendido genial. Se puede reservar tanto en interior como en terraza, en fin de semana imprescindible reserva.

They have an all vegan menu with a menu of the day, which is only 9,50. You can choose to drink tap water, which is a good choice in Madrid. The service is nice. You can sit outside (hardly any traffic) or inside, but it is wise to book a table because they are often full, even for lunch on a weekday.

Read moreLa cantidad del menú no es muy grande y te quedas como recomiendan los de Okinawa para vivir más años : al 80% de lleno. Pero por otro lado los platos son muy elaborados y sofisticados. Así que merece la pena como experiencia gastronómica.
He ido 3 veces y las tres encantado. Pedí menú del día.

Having already visited Vega's other location, we decided to get take-out through 2good2go--an app dedicated to eliminating food waste. The food was just as well-made and creative as the alternative location.

The bean mash is pretty standard--a nice additional element to inject protein into the meal. The bolognese delivers an authentic taste and texture of the traditional Italian dish. Vega doesn't just do traditional. The twist comes in the form of acidity. The mushrooms and capers are citrusy, rounding out the plate's taste profile. The only critique was the pasta, but I'm unsure if it was gluten-free. Regardless of its contents, it was soft, far from al dente.
Vega--either location--offers well-made food with fun twists and turns. They also get extra credit for setting trends in planet-conscious food waste.
