Really nice, fresh tasting lunch! - Edit
I first tried Umi falafel a few years ago at a vegfest and I'm glad the quality is still as good.
Read moreClearly labelled vegan menu, if they use the same menu in all locations I wish they would update the online menus to reflect.
I ordered a Lebanese falafel wrap and baba ghanoush.
The wrap was really nice, it tasted very fresh and was nicely seasoned plus a large size which was good as I hadn't realised how hungry I was.
The baba ghanoush was really tasty, it had an olive taste to it and also worked well mixed with the wrap.
I tried some of GC's Palestinian pita and actually preferred it to my wrap (wish I'd realised this as we could have swapped orders, next time).
I also tried some of their Cauliflower fritters which were very tasty, they could have used more sauce as it was a light drizzle on top, but they were tasty.
Overall it was a very nice experience reasonable price especially for Dublin it was about €28 for everything we got.
Great location, nice staff and unique ordering system(after you order they give you a little speaker with a table number on it, it flashes and beeps when your order is ready. (If you have sound sensitivity it may be a little grating).

Delicious but very salty - Edit
I got the Palestinian Falafel with cauliflower fritters, and I also tested some of Purp's Lebanese Falafel and also their Baba ghanoush.
Read moreThe Palestinian Falafel was very nice and spicy, but it was very salty. I'm not sure if it was because of the falafels or one of the sauces, but if you don't like salty food I would avoid this one.
The Lebanese Falafel was delicious! Full of flavour and fresh vegetables, and not incredibly salty. I wish that I had gotten this for myself as I preferred it to the Palestinian Falafel.
The cauliflower fritters were just seasoned, fried cauliflower. I was hoping they'd be battered. They were nice, but very oily, and they didn't have a lot of sauce on them so most of them had to be eaten without sauce. If I was getting them again I'd ask for extra sauce.
The Baba ghanoush was delicious! Very fresh, well seasoned, and slightly olivey.
Everything cost €28.50, and it was surprisingly filling. The menu has clearly marked vegan options, and the seating was comfy. The staff are lovely and friendly. When you order you're given a little box, and it beeps and flashes when your order is ready so you know when to go to the counter, I found this interesting as I haven't ever seen it before!
I would definitely eat here again, I would just get different things to what I ordered.

Portions are generous, vegan options clearly labelled in the menu. Too oily and salty for me, but overall tasty.

Reliable as ever - Edit
Just like the other locations, this one is full of amazing food and flavour. All dishes are affordable and filling. There's no table service here which is a pity but wouldn't put me off coming here as it is a little quieter than the Dame Street location which is a bonus.

Great vegan falafel - Edit
The great classic Georges street arcade feels like a natural place to eat vegan. Positioned beside the brilliant New Moon jewellery shop one can sit in the window and see a lot of Dublin characters walking by.

Wonderful hidden Umi! - Edit
I LOVE Umi Falafel - it's my go-to comfort food for an affordable belly-hug feeling. I particularly like this branch because it's sort of hidden away compared to the bustling Dame Street branch. There are a few places to sit (about😄but they are currently only doing takeout due to the pandemic - but you can sit in at the Dame Street Umi if you want. Even during normal times, this particular Umi is almost never too busy, and you're served attentively and quickly by the friendly staff there - I usually pop in to grab a falafel on my way home from work and I'm in and out within 3 minutes.

Pros: Great food, Rarely crowded, Friendly staff
Cons: Small space
