I wanted the Tofu with Umami Bomp Sauce, but they were out of tofu, so I ordered the Mushroom Giros. The flavorful giros included mushrooms, hummous, tomato, onions, and paprika in a crispy tortilla.

Read moreEs war lecker, leider gab es längere Wartezeit. Was aber auch daran lag, dass wir in der Vorsaison zu Besuch waren. Und der Laden nur mit einem Mitarbeiter besetzt war.
We ordered a salad and one wrap per person.
It was delicious, but unfortunately there was a long wait. But this was also due to the fact that we were visiting in the low season. And the place was only staffed by one employee.

It was one of my favorites during my stay in Heraklion. The owner-chef was very kind, he cooks in front of you so you can watch the preparation of your order. Already from the second time he offered me falafels prepared that day and not on the menu, simply delicious.

Based on reviews here and elsewhere, I got the tofu dog (really a wrap with pieces of breaded tofu) and a fresh pressed juice. It was all delicious and worth the wait. I was thirsty so ordered another fresh pressed juice before I left which was as good as the first. The owner-chef was very friendly and asked me where I was from and a bit about what I planned for my holiday once he had determined I was on one. At lunchtime on a Saturday I was the only customer although many nearby restaurants were packed and it’s a shame there aren’t more people here.

Manos is very kind and will be super thankful for your visit. You might need to wait a little for your order to be ready but it is freshly made in front of your eyes and super tasty. We had the mushroom gyros wrap with humus and two smoothies. Super quality organic food for a really nice price! You’ll get some travel advice for the island if you ask for it, as well!

Nice restaurant with vegan options - Edit
The owner was very friendly and nice. It's a quiet street close to all the nice restaurants in old town with few tables outside. We had a wrap with Falafel and Mushroom Gyros and fresh pressed juices. The juices were really refreshing, freshly made and awesome. The wraps itself were fresh and tasty - the Gyros was more like baked mushrooms, but still good. Overall it was a bit bland, but we're always happy for vegan options.

I had just landed in Heraklion on a Monday evening during the Christmas period. The streets were quite empty. I was walking and saw this place which caught my attention. From the outside it's pretty clear that there are vegan options so I decided to give it a try. Oh! It was my first time having mushroom gyros and it was so delicious! It also contains vegetables and hummus. They also get their products from the local organic market. The guy was very kind and friendly!

We had the Kinoa wrap, mushroom Gyros, Tofu dog and a smoothie with beetroot, ginger etc. It was all good, the coconut bacon is not really comparable to Rice paper bacon but still very interessting. The smoothie had quite a soapy Taste, probably from the ginger, so you might want to consider ordering another if you do not like this.The Service was very friendly, one man did everything alone and still had a good mood. We are happy to visit again.

This is one of our favorite places to eat in Heraklion and we are regulars. The cook is always kind and everything we've tasted is really delicious. The food does take a while to prepare so I would give yourself a little extra time here.

Options végétariennes et veganes qui permettent de découvrir la culture crétoise détournée.
La bolognaise végétarienne est excellente et très différente des interprétations habituelles des bolognaise sans viande. Le gyros au champignon est acceptable.
Les prix sont abordables, de 5 à 9 euros le plat.
Ne pas oublier les jus maison!

We wait at least 30 min and we were alone in the restaurant, but the tortilla with tofu and coconut bacon and the mushroom gyros were good, so it was ok. The best thing here are the fresh juices. They have nice combinations, we recommend the pineapple & scented geranium.
