Nice atmosphere but limited vegan pastry selection and barista skills

We came here with high expectations, as the café had received good reviews. The café has a great location. The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff friendly. However, the selection of sweet vegan pastries was very limited. I had the vegan chocolate cake (the only option), which tasted good.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

The name Tulipe – Speciality Coffee gives the impression of skilled specialty coffee-making and barista expertise. However, the unusually small cappuccino was served far too hot, presumably because the milk had been overheated during steaming. The café has high prices, so I would expect, by default, that a cappuccino would be made properly so it can be enjoyed right away without burning your mouth.

There was an extra charge for plant-based milk in coffee drinks.

Cute new cafe with some vegan options!

There’s a cute new cafe in the neighbourhood! Very good coffee with plant milk and no surcharge. They have a few vegan pastries and sometimes a vegan lunch sandwich or salad - it’s always vegetarian though.
