Easy, all vegan option right in the city - Edit
Great to find an all vegan restaurant right in town. I was looking for something healthy but exciting and although this place was quite expensive, it was exactly what I’d hoped for. I got the bento, it was a lot of food! The noodles were the only disappointment, not much flavour at all, but the bento itself was more than enough 💖

How is this place over 4 stars on HappyCow? - Edit
All the negative reviews on this place were scarily accurate. I wanted to give it a chance and came here but left with a hefty price.
Read moreThe only good thing here is that the veggies were fresh. Other than that, the veggies preparation was very basic (Just deep fried and laid on top of the ramen)
Ramen itself was not better compared to any other vegan ramen in Tokyo. In fact, it was probably slightly worse than any of them.
We got the Bento box which was supposed to be a premium item off the menu but sadly none of the dishes on it were above average and frankly, disappointing.
The staff gave off a weird vibe (We didn't receive the traditional Japanese politeness that I have been experiencing at all other vegan outlets)
It was really warm in the shop despite the aircon being turned on. That made the dining experience really uncomfortable.
Lastly, the price of these dishes are through the roof. I love to support vegan outlets but only those who put in the sincere effort and not simply because they are labelled vegan. I do NOT recommend this place, please spend your money on other vegan outlets who deserve it.
Cons: Hot in summer, Below average food, Expensive

Disappointing - Edit
Ramen was ok but not very tasty. They put a lot of vegetables on top of the soup, such that you basically have to eat all the raw veggies before you get to the soup. It's so much that you cannot mix it..

Price was definitely too high for what you get.

Unfortunately, the two dishes we wanted to try (cauliflower steak and bento) were sold out, so we opted for appetizers.

Ramen was great and heaps of veges but for that price it’s way too overpriced. Wouldn’t recommend. Staff were pretty terrible too and the music and atmosphere. Wouldn’t go back and wouldn’t recommend.

Not worth it - Edit
The portions are relatively small they just put a lot of salat and raw veggies to fill the void. It’s also extremely expensive for Tokyo and you can get half as cheap double as good ramen within walking distance plus the Restaurant itself was hotter than the outside

Ridiculously pricey - Edit
I’m the first one to support vegan restaurants, but this place really feels like a tourist trap. 4000 yen for a ramen that it is just good looking but ok flavor and full of raw veggies . Not worth your money

OVERPRICED - Edit
The most expensive meal I had in Tokyo and unfortunately one of the worst… I can’t believe that they charge almost 4000 yen for bowl with kale and some soba on the bottom… the staff is super nice, but come on … the prices are crazy here

Not adequate for the price - Edit
The ramen was good - I really appreciate the amount and variety of veggies -and the presentation was amazing, but in no world is this food with 4,000 yen with tax. I was a bit gobsmacked seeing the menu prices but figured maybe it’s a truly gourmet experience, but unfortunately it was just alright. There is much better (and more affordable!) vegan ramen in Tokyo.

Unique Presentation - Edit
My family and I were excited that we stumbled upon this vegan spot as we saw raving reviews about it. The staff were really friendly. We had to sit at the bar for a family of 4 as there were no tables available. The ramen wasn’t the best that we had. It was unique with so many veggies, something I’ve never seen before. I thought it was just me, not enjoying the flavors, but my whole family wasn’t a fan of the ramen either. It was pretty bland and the broth was not rich or creamy. We’ve had better ramen in Tokyo. The ramen and other food items were really expensive. It would be close to 4,000 yen for a bowl when we would normally pay 1200 yen for a bowl of vegan ramen at other vegan shops.

From cheap food truck to expensive restaurant - Edit
They're back! I remember walking to the "Tokyo Ramen Centre" last winter. It was cold and dark and after I lengthy walk I found an abandoned food truck. The people in the neighboring food trucks said the vegan ramen chef moved. Today I found out where he moved to: his very own restaurant in Omotesando. I actually visited at the second day after the grand opening.
Read moreIf you use the address provided by Happy Cow, you'll be dropped of in an alley full of shops, but no vegan restaurant to be found. In fact, the entrance is at the other side of the building facing the main road. Luckily, there's a sign showing you how to get from one side of the block to the other.
Then another surprise awaits: the food here is EXPENSIVE. Appetizers are more than 2000 yen (the price of a decent main meal), most mains are more than 3000 yen (the price of a premium meal). Since the name of this restaurant is still "Tokyo Vegan Ramen Center", I opted for the ramen bowl. The chef prepares the broth of each and every bowl from scratch. It is made from oat milk with their own unique blend of dashi. Vegetables are not pre-cut, but stored to be as fresh as possible. When served, this bowl of ramen looks like a work of art! If you're looking for "Instagrammable" food, this is the ramen to get!
As expected, the (organic!) vegetables are fresh and tasty. Only if required vegetables are slightly cooked or fried to make them edible, but most is raw. Even the noodles seem to be of better quality than average. The broth has no salt or oil and therefore this is the first time I finished the entire bowl of ramen and didn't leave the soup.
Still, I had a hard time deciding whether the "Tokyo Vegan Ramen Center" deserves 4 or 5 stars. Beautiful, healthy, organic, tasty. Yes to all. But also, insanely expensive. At this price I could have gotten a full multi-course meal elsewhere. This former food truck really went from one extreme to the other.
Pros: great taste, organic fresh ingredients, beautiful presentation
Cons: very expensive
