Extensive menu - Edit
Delicious chinese style food. Menu is extensive and price is pretty reasonable. Place appears to be quite popular with locals as there was a steady stream of customers at the restaurant. Very attentive service staff though they speak little English. Highly recommended.

What an amazing find - Edit
Really cool spot, has a homey feel, not fancy at all, but staff was super friendly. Menu has English descriptions. We picked from a preset menu for 4-6 people and it was an absurd amount of food. Everything was really good though and the variety was amazing. My omni colleagues also loved it!

Ottima cena ✨ - Edit
Il locale è stato facile da trovare con le indicazioni date nei commenti. Bisogna salire sulle scale vicino a 7 Eleven, entrare e girare subito a destra.
Cons: Non sanno inglese, Prezzi medio-alti, Posizione

Great - Edit
Delicious food. I especially loved the double fried tofu. The tofu skin filled with vegetables (a little bit like spring rolls) was OK as well. I also ordered a dish called eggplant hamburger, which on the picture looked delicious (thick eggplant slices in a sauce), but in fact was only a tiny bit of eggplant with pineapple and mock meat fried in batter. This was too greasy to my taste and I just really dislike this kind of mock meat (I'm vegetarian because I don't like the taste of meat, but I should have realised that's very different from the concept of Buddhist vegetarianism and this restaurant indeed has a lot of mock meat dishes, which do not contain meat but still taste like meat). I simply replaced this dish by ordering another one, which was fine for me and I expected to pay for it. The restaurant staff was very kind about it though and insisted I didn't need to pay for the eggplant dish. I really appreciated their gesture but also felt embarrassed, because it was mostly my fault for not checking the ingredients carefully enough. Staff was friendly and the other dishes were great, so I would definitely return here and recommend this restaurant!
Read morePros: Lots of options , Picture menu with Chinese and English , Patient staff

Delightful - Edit
Took a little bit of wandering around to find the place, but well worth it. The google map position here is nearly accurate, but across the road diagonally. Look for the tallest building with 'SOHO' in top. Go inside till you see the 7-11 in the courtyard and its the storey above.
Read moreRelaxing, comfortable environment. It appears to be fully vegan (menu has a blurb about no meat, egg, dairy, or "pungent roots").
Very tasty, and cost about 140 yuan to feed two hungry people.

The food was good and so quick. Big portions! The restaurant is on the first floor, we had to ask because it’s kind of hidden.

It is not too hard to find. Just trust that it is 2F in building D. Added a picture from the outside so you can find it.
Read moreFood was super delicious and I guess quite authentic. I had a no-fish soup with Sezuan pepper and chili and loved it. But as many Chinese restaurants it is forseen to be in a group so the portion sizes were huge for me alone.
Never had Michelin star food, but I think this is a very good chance!
For vegan or vegetarian it was hard to communicate and I more or less guessed what didn’t look like egg or milk. Still I highly recommend trying, the staff is super friendly.
Pros: Very flavorful , Michelin star quality , Very friendly
Cons: Vegan not marked separately

Good food - Edit
Nice place, nice people and nicely spiced - which is good for a temple restaurant.

Very delicious! - Edit
Edit: I went there again March 2024 and it’s still pretty much the same as in 2019. I would definitely continue to recommend it.
Read moreMy hostel host recommended this place to me and I’m happy to find that it already is on happy cow. I was here today, late in the evening, and the food was delicious. They also offered to pack up leftovers (but there was only some rice left, so I didn’t need that.) The food was good and filling and it had a nice atmosphere where people go to relax and chat while eating.
It’s on the first (second) floor, when you turn left after coming up the stairs or the elevator.

High quality restaurant - Edit
This restaurant is really nice. The atmosphere and interior is good and also the food is. We think we choose the wrong dishes because all other looked much better. Our two dishes taste good but not extraordinary, but we can imagine, that there are a lot of really nice dishes. You have to order rice separate! We paid 108 Y and were full. It’s more a higher class restaurant like the vegetarian tiger. They have English menu, but the stuff didn’t speak English, but the menu is in English.
Read moreIt easy to find if you search in the second (in Germany first) floor. Trust the map and you will find it. Sat the front is also written vegetarian restaurant in English.

Delicious Asian Vegetarian Cuisine! - Edit
Most of the menu items were vegan! I didn’t see anything on the menu that contains dairy or egg products, so I wonder if this is a vegan restaurant ... The food was delectable. The recipes stayed true to traditional Asian cuisine without satisfying flavor.

Not central but worth a short trip - Edit
You might be thinking: do I go to Vege Tiger near Tianeman square? If that is too busy for you, then this is a good option. Huge variety of mock meat dishes, very realistic (according to a friend). A la carte menu not buffet style. Lots of other veggie based dishes, I would say 80-90% of options are vegan, though I did not ask. Menu with English. No alcohol. Based in a modern building but traditional interior. Very reasonable prices allow you to explore a few options. Quite upmarket by Western standards but prices are very fair. You would pay 2x or more in UK for this. Brown rice as well as white. Various healthy drinks like wheatgrass.
Read moreFinally: I don't think the staff speak much English but unlike other reviewers I am not going to penalize them for that! We had no problems with service and that's what is important!
