Good for a hot meal - Edit
Honestly if you're visiting universal studios this place is your best bet for a vegan meal. We tried at kinopio's (nintendo world) but it was reservation only and we couldn't get in.
Read moreI was able to get an Irish stew (which had some sort of mock meat in it and was very good) and some vegetables and potatoes on the side (less good but still okay). Tbh I'm just glad I was able to eat a decent meal somewhere.
Note: Butterbeer is also vegan! But I didn't care to try it

i also got the plant based butterbeer which i something like a root beer float but the ice cream is just… cream 😆
not complaining, this is a great option
we didnt wait long like the previous reviewer and we were both really surprised. we ordered via mobile app then went to the food collection place with the receipt and it was all prepared within 5 mins😄do try it out!!
btw the non vegan options we heard people complaining like crazyyyyy that they suck lol
Pros: stew is good, mock chicken is good, bun is good, im ok with the salad

They said it was a thirty minute wait. Turned out to be about an hour and I thought that after an hour it would be like a restraunt but turns out it’s basically just really low quality cafeteria food. The stew is really bland and tastes like something I would eat at a hospital. I hate that I spent so much money here absolutely not worth it at all. I only came here cause it had some good reviews on here and I was entirely mislead.

We came here to try the plant based butter beer. While waiting in line, we saw that they had the stew feast. We weren’t expecting much out of it, but it was delicious! Their stew was flavorful and the plant based beer was soo good!

This meal was surprisingly healthy and a good option for a theme park. The vegetables were very mushy and the stew was warming. If you paid that price in the ‘outside world’ you’d be livid.
The vegan butterbeer was not to my taste but a great inclusive option and my partner loved it.
Pros: Comforting Stew Taste, Healthy, Creamy ButterBeer
Cons: Texture, Cold veggies and plastic plates, General Mush

Based off the reviews we were ready for something very mid… gosh we were blown away!!!!! The stew was literally amazing?!!! So so much flavour and the chips were yummy. The fake meat in the stew was tender. Just whack the extra veges into the stew and they are great. The salad is basic but the dressing they give you is YUM so it becomes great. The bun to mop up the rest of the stew was great too. On top of all of this, the vegan butter beer was insane?!!!!!! It tasted like creaming soda💗yes it’s over priced but it’s universal, and the food itself was delicious. Can’t believe how much better it was than expected hahaha

Honestly was a struggle finding any food at the park, but I was throughly impressed to find the Three Broomsticks not only had a plant based dinner, but a plant based butter beer too!!
Read moreThe veggie stew was very flavourful and great with the bread roll dipped in, but the soy chunks just were kinda mid. I would have liked more seasoning on the steamed veggies is came with too, but I was just so hungry that it didn't really matter too much to me.
The butter beer was very sweet, good for the first few sips, but definitely more of a shared drink for me. Was very nice to try the iconic drink finally though!
Pros: 1 of maybe 2 options in the park!, In Harry Potter area so lots of magic around, Stew was so flavourful
Cons: Steamed veggies were blander, Soy chunks were mid, Butter beer was too sweet for me

We were expecting not to find anything in the Universal Park, but we're so pleased to find a vegan meal!

We also had the plant based butter beer, which I LOVED.

The vegan options are delicious, and far exceeded my expectations given the feedback through this app. The stew was flavourful, and the rice bread was soft and tasty. The vegan butter beer was very sweet, but hit the spot. I would love to come back one day and hopefully see more vegan friendly options on the menu!

The stew is heart and filling and comes with veggies a roll and fries. The meals in USJ are expensive but they are full meals, you won't leave hungry. My husband had the plant based butterbeer which came clearly labelled. I had an American style lemonade, but no sign of coke products

Since the last review in October, the menu has been updated- the ‘vegetarian plate’ is now called ‘Vegetable Plate’ and is clearly marked as plant based, please see pic.

Universal Japan in general is appalling for vegan food so at least this is a small step in the right direction. But bring snacks!

Was it plane … yes. Did I fancy a big plate of veg … also yes 😂 so you decided. There is also Mac and cheese on the kids menu and leak and potato soup as a side so there is more options 👍
