The 3 stars are because it’s a fully vegan place, staff was friendly and accommodating. I am one for grunge in an atmosphere but not dingy when it comes to food. It was almost as if everything came from your basement and placed there before it was cleaned. I watched the person who was behind the bars cash out and cook the person before my friends food, cash out and cook my friends food and then cash me out and cook my food- with the same pair of gloves on all the while handling menus… I should have know better. The food was somehow delicious but within a hr and digesting, it made me sick. I don’t know if I would try it again because I don’t live in Jacksonville and can’t afford a ride there to be with friends just to get sick and go home.

Read moreI got the pesto sandwich and added avocado and bacon. They wrapped the bacon separately so it stayed crisp.
Also loved the side of potato salad and they let me get a side of egg salad. Can’t wait to come back!

The food is absolutely excellent. The sandwiches say 12 inches but they had to be bigger than that. Fantastic fresh bread. Neat environment and international artists are playing on the playlist. Alex was our server and took excellent care of us. Definitely coming back! The bacon is amazing.

Delicious food and amazing atmosphere! I ordered the Capreasy Lover, potato salad, and a Sunshine Superman juice. The food was absolutely amazing, the drink was a little heavier on the tumeric than I expected but overall I truly enjoyed my meal and will be back! They do fun things all week as well. Karaoke was going on when I stopped by, will definitely be joining the fun next time!

We stopped by for lunch because we wanted to try their vegan dogs. My boyfriend had the chili and I had the heaux heaux - they were out of cheese so we each got a free bag of chips.
Read moreThe chili was good - made with quinoa! The Heaux was good but it had a lot going on between the pesto, onions and balsamic- I think it would have been amazing if I was a little tipsy. There was a flea market happening in the back room!

The Eggman sandwich and Dark Horse smoothie...absolutely perfect. Cool atmosphere and totally chill eatery. Lots on the menu, including cocktails and mocktails. Will definitely be back next time I'm in town.

The food was good, especially the sandwich, but the venue itself was even better. The menu is fully vegan with mostly traditional bar food. The venue is well-decorated and very casual in the best kind of way. Staff are incredibly friendly and there was an indie movie screening in the adjoining room.

We were on our way to Savannah and needed a quick bite for the road—so glad we found The Walrus! Super friendly staff and the food was on point. We left with a bunch of hot dogs, sandwiches, insanely good smoothie-style shakes, and even got a free merch on top. Perfect road trip fuel!

Delicious and FILLING smoothies, free classic video games (do NOT put your quarters in like I did ;)), fair prices, limited gluten free options. I got some sides, put them together, and was charged for a sandwich, so I’m happy with that. Nice server and happy to support them😄

First off, the setting here is amazing ! Just going through all the decor was cool enough! Everything on the menu sounded great but I went with a Lonely Hearts Club Sammie, which was delicious. I definitely want to bring friends here some time…great food & fun experience. They have all sorts of events to attend so will be coming back!

We love love love this place. We work late and are thrilled that their kitchen stays open until midnight. They are definitely dedicated to their craft. I have to say their juices and smoothies are the bomb as well.

This place is honestly one of the coolest bars I have ever been! It's fun, open minded, queer friendly, and very polite and kind staff. They have karaoke and open mic comedy nights as well as shows. Even some pinball and arcade machines. My bf and I just visited Jax for the first time and ended up going here TWICE. It was that good. I love the fresh juice and the Reuben sandwich. It's a vegan corned “beef” sandwich. The VLT and the Club are also yummy. They have stuffed cookies as well. It's a flavored cookie ball with a flavored icing in the middle. I tried just about every flavor there. All so good!
