Quick pub grub - Edit
I was impressed to see a vegan menu with four starters, three mains and two desserts. There's a restaurant and a bar - I think they serve the same food. I ate in the bar (no need to book, order and pay at the bar). Free WiFi.
Read moreI had the vegetable bhuna with basmati rice (specify you want it vegan as they do a non-vegan option with naan). I wanted the Jaffa orange cake, but they didn't have any so I had the hot chocolate fudge cake with plant based cream. It arrived lukewarm rather than hot.
The food is alright, nothing special. Generous portions and welcome after a long day of hiking.

Interesting and varied salad for a pub! Didn't seem to have dressing so I added malt vinegar. Balsamic would have been better.

Great to have some options in a small roadside village pub. They have a separate vegan menu if you ask.

The cake was massive, we got one each but definitely could have shared 😆
They have free WiFi and good selection of drinks. Not sure if they provide alternative milks for hot drinks but if you give them a call they seemed helpful enough to give a positive answer.

Really good wee pub! - Edit
Great wee pub with a separate vegan menu if you ask. Not the most adventurous vegan options but the vegetable curry I had was so so lovely and you could choose your own spice level. Also well priced!
