Missed opportunity

Hostile and beyond unpleasant customer service. The girl at the front talks a millions miles a minute, if you ask her a question she only knows how to say, “that’s not our policy”. The food was overpriced and below average. The only thing they got right was the aesthetic - the space itself is very cute. What a waste.

Pros: The decorations, nothing else

Cons: Terrible service , Limited options, Leaves a bad taste in mouth

Love the deli experience

I had the quiche, fried chicken, brie cheese, a chocolate chip cookie and a black and white cookie-all wonderful. It is such a treat to be able to get vegan versions of these items! Happy to hear they will soon offer dips for the fried chicken. Free parking in the garage is also a plus.

Pros: Free parking , Friendly staff, Excellent food

Amazing Sandwiches and very kind staff

Originally I was planing to preorder and just pick up my food there but since Apple Pay didn’t work with my non-US credit cards on their web checkout I want there and ordered in person. The woman at the register was very kind and helpful and the store itself looked very clean, inviting and well kept.
Ordering was swift and effective and since they prepared my Reuben sandwich fresh it took 5-10min for it to arrive.
I took the Sandwich and their vegan chicken piece back to my hotel and had it 20min later. Nevertheless it still tasted incredibly good. Very hearty and meaty. All the ingredients of the Sandwich just fit together perfectly and the crunch from toasting the sandwich was still there as well as some residual heat. Just perfect.
I will sure be back there in the future and probably also try the vegan Mexican place next door. #Veganuary

Pros: Taste, Quality , Kind and helpful staff

Darling Deli

I started the year off with a 3 mile hike so at lunch time I was hunting for a good meal. Happy Cow delivered with Plant Butchers. Super cute set up shared with Sugar Taco. Plenty of deli options and quality beverages, other retail food items to go as well. My friend and I had a Rueben and a Roast Beef, both were great (pickled cabbage was my fave!), and sampling the seitan meats the flavors were actually different! We also grabbed a toothsome potato salad, a Caesar salad, and to my delight vegan black and white cookies. I’m excited to return and want to visit their neighbors at Sugar Taco, too!

Pros: Classic, Cute Aesthetic, Accessible

Cons: Pricier

New addition to LB vegan scene

It took 4 trips in 3 days to find parking. But I was very eager to visit. I've got high hopes for this place because it's unique. I think when their cases are full they'll kick ass. I had the tuna melt, which was great, but would have been cool if the cheese had melted.

Pros: Great sandwich , Great sweets, Other gifts

Cons: Parking blows for people who can't walk there, Not inexpensive , You have to go downtown

Hi, Just saw your comment and wanted to let you know that The Plant Butchers have free parking in the garage thats in the same building - Entrance on Magnolia, right next to the entry of the store. The parking spots have signs with the Plant Butchers and Sugar Taco logo. - For next time, you can park for free in the designated spots while enjoying the food😄

That's great! I've been back since my original visit. Those B/W cookies are incredible.

I feel cheated

Mostly bread and two THIN slices of plant meat. I had the caprese (with ONE wilted basil leaf) and the reuben. Tip to owner: for an $11 to $15 sandwich, you need to add more "meat" to please your customers. Stop being cheap or you won't last.
