All the food was amazing! I was very glad the non-v fans also enjoyed the food. The staff was friendly. We came right at 12 so service was quick. All the food, including the salad, were so flavorful.

The loco moco was on point. The flavors, along with the grilled onions and amazing mushrooms, were amazing! I totally agree with why The Mustard Seed exists. Adam & Eve were vegan from the start.

We got take out for dinner. So interested to have vegan Hawaiian food. The crab cakes were awesome. The Happy Hawaiian bowl with spam was very tasty, I get again. My wife got the miso tofu crunch wrap, also really tasty. My son got the Philly cheesesteak wrap and Cajun fries. Both were good after reheating. Had the peach beneigts for dessert, yummy.

Read moreThis is my 4th time and tried the Happy Hawaiian since I’ve had the Loco Moco the previous times. The spam was unreal!
They also offer GF options (my husband is gluten intolerant) and he loves the taco bowl and the crispy tacos.
The portions are way generous so bring your appetite!
Please support this 100% vegan, minority owned business. These places are disappearing too fast here in LA. 🙁

Great vegan food and great vibes. The staff are always friendly and attentive, the restaurant is clean and modern, and the food is delicious. I tried the Happy Hawaiian with spam and also with fried chicken, and it was great with both options. Well worth checking out.

Read moreFor the Loco Moco, I swapped in the “steak” option, which turned out to be a great choice. The flavor profile reminded me of a mushroom stroganoff—rich and savory. While delicious, it could have used a touch more balance—maybe a hint of spice or a crack of fresh pepper to round things out.
To drink, I went with one of their sodas, which was refreshingly not too sweet. That might not be everyone’s preference, but I appreciated its lighter taster.
Overall, The Mustard Seed impressed with well-executed dishes and interesting flavor combinations.

Nice* find near where I’m staying! Even omni-approved, minus some of them didn’t appreciate the texture of the Chick’n’ in the Alfredo pasta or the herbs on the vegetables, but they still enjoyed the bread!

Almost every player I’ve had is incredible. Their Mexican burrito is my go to but you can’t go wrong with their crunchy tacos. The staff is also super friendly. The owner is one of the nicest guys as well.

I ordered the philly cheestake wrap, peach cobbler beignet & regular beignet. I also got a large half and half of their fresh in house juice, cucumber mint with strawberry hibiscus (I don't remember exactly but it was 😋).
The wrap was LOADED with sauteed veggies so that made me love it even more 💜💜💜. I ate only half and shared the other half with my sis.
I never had no peach cobbler beignet and New Orleans ain't got NOTHING on this creation here‼️ NOTHING‼️👀😄
Glad I took the chance and stopped here it was well worth it. The atmosphere and customer service was spectacular too! I had a question about what cheese they use & although it took a few minutes to find out they got an answer for me😇. If I lived here I'd be a frequent customer 💜.

Where are the greens? - Edit
One thing I noticed about Mustard Seed, the lack of greens or veggies. I think the junk food vegans would enjoy this but I'm about healthier options and not fast food style. I didn't see any kale, broccoli, napa cabbage, any greens at all other than romaine lettuce.
Read moreMsg to the MS: stop using so much oil in everything! It's not healthy, add some unfried tofu, some fresh veggies that are not doused in oil & salt. I won't be back as there isn't a thing I could eat there that I consider a healthy meal. Very disappointed in Mustard Seed.
Pros: Great for the fast food vegan crowd, Good for another that's not health conscience.
Cons: Not good for those that want to eat a clean diet. , All the excess oil, Mostly junk food

Went their a couple of weeks back to attend a meetup. They allow dogs inside which is why we could take our three little babies. Their chicken tenders were absolutely bomb. So was their crab cakes. Also tried their steak wrap. All of the food was delicious. Definitely recommended for everyone.

Our Server(Alexis) was welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu.
Pros: Warm and Friendly , Good seating set up and amount , portions are generous

Tasty tofu wrap - Edit
I had the Tofu Miso Crunch wrap, a tasty combination of deep-fried battered tofu, edamame, wild & brown rice, cucumber. I couldn’t taste any miso, but the otherwise-bland wrap was saved by the pickled ginger. (Their online menu lists different ingredients!) The menu ranges widely across the world and I’m sad that I could only try one of their offerings.
