I've said it before, I love momos and I'm on an endless quest to find the tastiest ones. Plus, we were super tired from sightseeing around Sydney all day and looking for vegan options close to our accommodation. It's below street level and accessible via stairs or a lift.
Read moreThe long narrow dining area was bustling with many Napalese customers so I trust their recommendation. Momos had a nice, slightly sweet curry filling and the chutneys were just right.
The wait staff explained that aloo sadheko is marinated in raw mustard oil and seasoned with fenugreek seeds, giving it a slightly butter flavour. It was also pretty spicy! I enjoyed it.
Their chow mein was made from spaghetti and also had some heat! We ordered medium and the staff clarified that their medium is on the hot side. So if you can't handle much spice, order mild.
Oh, and they also have their own lager on tap. The decor is a bit camp. There's a photo wall covered in fabric roses. But there are also lots of Buddhist Tangkas and prayer wheels. There are 2 large murals of Nepalese scenes as well as a stage set-up so I guess they sometimes have live music.

The waitress was very helpful in making sure our food was vegan. The dumplings were delicious! Would recommend the “soupy sauce” ones!

BEST MOMOS EVER - Edit
I have been going back to The Momo's Hub for a couple of years now and It never disappoints! I have previously had a few of the other Veggie options, including the Chow Mein which were great but I am here to sing the praises of the Momos! If you like spicy food the Chilli Momos are absolutely incredible, served sizzling in a chilli sauce unlike anything I've ever eaten. The Sadheko Momos are my other favourite, served topped with the most delicious marinade which has such a beautiful balance of spices and flavours. The restaurant is a fun, colourful space. Access this space via stairs that lead you down into the restaurant. The marinated Momos were spicy and so delicious, especially for under $15 these were so worth it!
Read moreThe veg chow mein as well was so different as it had black chickpeas and other veggies included that I haven't seen in Indo Chinese cuisine. So that was fun!
The Aloo Bodi Tama was also delicious with some rice and I have never tried that before either. This option was more homely, yet new. Highly recommend!
Pros: Marinated momos, Affordable prices, Vegan options, just ask wait staff
Cons: It can take some time for the vegan meals to come

Flavourful Vegetable Momos - Edit
Conveniently located a few minutes' walk from Town Hall Station and Museum Station, opposite World Square Shopping Centre. I can't vouch for the authenticity of the food since I've never been to Nepal, but it was definitely very flavourful and delicious, especially the vegetable momos! Vegetarian dishes are labelled in the menu, and most of them can be veganised by requesting to remove dairy (note that the dishes listed in the HappyCow description are not all vegan by default). Special shoutout to the well-informed, patient, and friendly staff who recommended vegan dishes to us. They even surprised us with a small discount!

Super tasty momos! - Edit
I ordered the marinated momos and they were really good! Spicy, and full of flavour. It took some time because of the process for veg dishes, but the lovely owner kept me informed and was very apologetic. It was worth the wait!

Great taste, lots of spices. - Edit
Go for the marinated dumplings. The other dumplings apparently have the same filling, but don't taste as good. The other main dishes and the appetizers all taste pretty great as well. Only real problem is that many dishes have ghee, so make sure you check with the servers before ordering.
