I had a 7-hour layover in BCN and decided to head to town for a short visit and sample the cuisine.... I love colours, and that's what you get at Veggie Gardens! Very colourful interior and the staff was quick.... unfortunately, I don't speak Catalan (or Spanish) and it took a while to got sorted. I ordered a green smoothie which was really good and a seitan burger which was not so good.... I would even dare to say there was hardly any seitan in that burger mix. Disappointing.

Walked in and was greeted immediately. Even though they sat my next to the door, the service was pretty fast. I got the Nepali luxury thali and te Nepali. The tea was good and the place was pretty good too, just not as strong of flavors I was hoping. Pretty cheap for the area and very friendly staff as well. I could see this being a nice quick consistent lunch spot if I was a local.

Read moreFor some reason I never actually reviewed it, even though I ate there at least ten times. More than once it saved me from imminent starvation - no matter what day it is, no matter if everything else is closed, the are still decent chances Veggie Garden welcomes you with open arms.
They serve simple food, nothing fancy, but they do it quick and reliable and at a fair rate. Hence their popularity. At times it gets really crowded in there. Which is saying something for a vegan restaurant.
Their selection of freshly squeezed juices is a nice extra.

I couldn’t believe how much food I got for my money. Normally that translates to sub par food but honestly this was some of the best vegan curry I’ve ever had (and I eat a lot of curry!). Definitely try this place out if you’re in Barcelona looking for Indian food.

I had the Classic Thali and a Mango Lassi. All was good and the food was served really quickly. I liked that the Thali had different "sauces" and therefore with one dish I had different tastes. The Lassi was good but almost a bit too sweet for me.

Alles im Veggie Garden ist vegan. Das riesige Angebot (sowohl beim Essen, als auch bei den Getränken) macht einem die Wahl nicht einfach. Das Menü Nr. 11 (Bowl Proteina) war toll! So viele leckere Komponenten und ein feines Dressing. Nach 3 Tagen Pommes und Eisbergsalat am Hotelbuffet eine super Abwechslung! Highlight des Tages. Gerne wieder!

We had the daily menu which was a good price but wasn’t great. For starters my partner had hummus and I had polenta. The basket of bread was extremely dry so we didn’t eat it. For main course we both ordered calzone. The texture of the dough was a little strange (like it had been microwaved(?). I thought the veggie filling was nice until I reached the vegan cheese. I really didn’t like the flavour at all, sorry. We had crumble & chocolate mousse for dessert. Again not great. So based on our experience, I’d give it one star but I’m adding one purely because it was very cheap.

My first vegan lunch in Barcelona, and it was inexpensive and very delicious. I had the vegan wraps with guacamole, and the portions were generous and the food was delicious. I would go back and try other things on the menu.

We tried the lunch menu and a hamburger and it was good. For 10'90 € they offer 2 dishes, water, bread or beer and dessert. Good price for what you get and in such a central location. We tried the gazpacho (it was tasty, with some spices but we liked it) quiche and a hamburger (not from the menu). Large portions and tasty food, although the side salad seemed a bit old. The chocolate cake was just ok. The menu is extensive and all vegan. A great option if you're in the area.

Es un restaurante vegano y muy económico. Un menú con primer y segundo plato, postre, pan y agua (o cerveza) sale a 10,95€ y el precio no aumenta los fines de semana. La comida está muy buena, aunque en la línea del precio, y el ambiente y servicio son muy agradables. También me dieron una tarjeta con la cual a la décima vez que los visitas un menú te sale gratis.
