The King & I é um dos restaurantes tailandeses mais antigos da cidade. O fato deles estarem abertos por tantos anos é um testamento da qualidade do seu serviço. O restaurante tem uma vibe retrô mais antiga que traz uma sensação de conforto muito boa. Eles possuem várias opçoes veganas e as porções são enormes. Eu destaco a sopa Tom Kha de coco que foi uma das coisas mais deliciosas que já comi.

Large portions - Edit
Had the Pad Thai and veggie spring rolls. Both were delicious but especially the rolls. I’d go back just for those!
Read moreNice atmosphere. You can see the kitchen which can be fun, but it’s a little difficult to hear conversations at your table.

Came in and got seated, then it took almost 5 minutes before anyone even seemed to notice I was there.
Read moreI initially wanted to order the Massman Curry (usually one of my favorites), but when I asked if it was vegan, the cook claimed that they couldn't make it without the Fish Sauce. Went over the rest of the menu with the waitress to find something other than appetizers and soup, and the only option left was the Larb.
What came out was basically just a pile of seasoned, minced tofu, some lettuce leaves too small and narrow to be used for wrapping, and a few thick slices of cucumber. Oh, and they forgot the rice...
Suffice to say, I will not be back.

Can Make Vegan On Request - Edit
We enjoyed eating here, the food was hot and good. The menu is labeled with a V (not sure if it’s for vegan or vegetarian), but they had a good number of choices they can veganize. Which is nice when a lot of the other restaurants in the area has very limited options. They were very busy when we went, so service was slow.

Solid classic Thai food with some vegan options and veggie options clearly marked that can be modified to be vegan. They have a number rating on spice level from 0-4 (native Thai). Spicy!
