Delicious - Edit
Would have given 5 if possible!! Food was absolutely amazing and great vegan options. Had a plantain starter which was amazing, I had corn tacos with jackfruit which were super tasty but did fall apart because they got a bit soggy. My boyfriend had the plantain burrito which he said was ‘amazing, perfect, really good’. Great portion sizes, lovely staff!

Best Mexican in Dublin - Edit
The Hungry Mexican has been a favourite of mine since it was in the back of Bodkin's on Bolton Street. Now they're on the quays, they're always busier but the food hasn't suffered and they've added to their vegan options. All dishes can be adapted with soya mince, chunks, plantain or jackfruit, and vegan cheese. All available with a range of salsas from very mild to red hot habanero. Owners themselves are vegetarian/vegan so always out a lot of care into their vegan options.

Delicious chimichanga! My partner and I had 'Dublin's biggest chimichanga' with ground soy protein to replace the beef. So 🤤

Okay food, horrible service - Edit
Service here is really slow. Waitresses all 3 times I've been here were not attentive at all and some of them not super friendly either.
Read moreFood is quite alright, I like the fried plantain in burritos etc. I'd love some vegetables though, it would make the meals feel a bit less heavy.
It gets quite busy here at weekend nights but the atmosphere is nice and the drinks quite big.
Pros: Fried plantain , Big portions , Nice mojitos
Cons: Bad service, Owners always seem to stand around and scowl, Seems a bit dingy at times

Great service, nice enough food - Edit
Food isn't mind-blowingly amazing, but there's a cheap lunch deal and it's definitely good value. We had the chilli soy mince tacos and burrito, you can pick from various salsas, but right now you could also have fried plantain instead of soy mince if you want. The chocolate brownie for dessert was phenomenal!

Nice but pricey at dinner time for what you get - Edit
Visited this place at evening time. Food was tasty but once you take away the cheese and sour cream you are left with a pretty basic dish (rice and beans in a tortilla) with a price that can't be justified when compared with other burrito places in the area. Not much would pull me back to this place unless they have lunchtime prices which can match up to competitors in the area
Read moreThat being said we had fun with the crayons they leave on each table drawing on the paper tablecloths! The vegan beer they have on tap was also pretty tasty and refreshing.
Pros: Good effort made to cater to vegans, Tasty vegan beer
Cons: Expensive at dinnertime compared to competitors

Big burrito - Edit
I landed in Dublin, went to my hostel and this place is right across the street. I didn’t realize I needed the giant burrito until I saw the sign and it was everything I had hoped for.

Fresh homemade food and very friendly owner - Edit

Amazing food and lovely staff - Edit
My partner, my friends and I came here after a long day at Dublin Pride. We were all delighted with the wide selection of both vegan and non vegan food! Being someone trying to go vegan, I tried jackfruit for the first time in their soft tacos and would definitely recommend them, as well as the vegan churros for dessert! They also have non alcoholic cocktails available. The staff were wonderful, constantly checking in to see if we needed anything else. I've definitely found my new dinner spot!

Wonderful service underwhelming burrito - Edit
The service was wonderful & genuinely friendly. Unfortunately the vegan burrito was mostly rice and the seitan mince had little flavour . I had to eat the burrito with a knife and fork as the burrito bread fell apart.

The staff was very friendly and helpful in helping me find out what is vegan and what isn't. Unfortunately the Chipotle salsa isn't vegan but every other salsa is. Do not get the mushroom tacos unless you love mushrooms.
