Standard but tastes good!

A bit more on the pricey end- but so is most of Edinburgh. I really enjoyed the burger and would def get that over the cauliflower dish which you didn’t get much of.

The service was excellent though- can not fault that at all!

Have put photos below!

Great atmostpher & decent food!

Great experience overall. The ambiance and service were top notch.

I had the vegan burger and it wasn’t amazing but not too bad especially for Scottish standards (I’m Scottish born but live in California). I appreciated the vegan options clearly labeled and that they had options for everyone in our party.

We had some older guests (party of😄and were grateful for their accommodation on a slightly quieter table when it became available. It was also fantastic to have a vegan menu available for myself and one of our other guests. Would definitely come back whether with a large or smaller group.

Highly recommend it if you want nice ambiance, decent food and have a group you’re looking to accommodate of all types of diners.

Pros: Ambiance, Service - staff was friendly, Clearly labeled vegan options on the menu

Cons: Food could have been slightly more flavorful.

Nice atmosphere, otherwise disappointing

The atmosphere is nice and the staff friendly enough but the service was slow and the food sub par, especially given that it was quite expensive. Every item was missing something as described on the menu (burger with no cheese, for example), and this was not mentioned on ordering. Some parts of the food were nice, but other things were not. Would not go back.

Pros: Nice atmosphere

Cons: Slow food service, Mediocre food , Expensive

No more vegan fish and chips 🥲

There’s a vegan burger, which is nice if you’re in the area but not worth travelling for. They took the “fish” and chips off the menu which was a bit of a shame as we looked forward to it. But Leith is beautiful anyway and worth a visit.

Cafe/restaurant next to the river

We were seated straight away by a friendly lady. Not many options that we could see (like others have said) but had soup and mushrooms on toast which was just what we were looking for.

Pros: Nice atmosphere , Really friendly staff, Tasty food

Cons: Slightly limited vegan options

Small variety, and pricey, but otherwise well done vegan dishes

Not many dishes to choose from, but the dishes they do have are fantastic. So far one of the best vegan fish 'n chips I've had yet: marinaded banana blossom-based.

Would love to see them expand the plant-based menu more, as there is unfortunately a heavy focus on meat and fish dishes.

Amazing vegan fish and chips

We ended up in this lovely place with few decent vegan options by a chance. What a happy coincidence! Ordered vegan fish and chips with ‘fish’ made from banana blossom. Super tasty and super crispy. Huge portion so sadly no room for dessert (wanted to try vegan chocolate panna cotta) Great atmosphere and all servers were lovely. I am planning to be back to check other vegan options on their menu.
